You don’t need to arrive with all the answers

“I’m curious, but I’m not sure where to start” is a perfectly good reason to have a conversation with Jo.

Bring your questions, tell her what’s on your mind and talk through what may be suitable for you — including risks, costs and realistic expectations.

You can take time to consider your options before deciding whether to proceed.

A closer look at a moment in the treatment room ✨

Every skin treatment starts with understanding your skin, discussing your concerns and assessing which options may be suitable.

Our team will explain what’s involved, what to expect afterwards and how to care for your skin at home.

Questions are always welcome

Sunscreen should be an essential part of every skincare routine ☀️

Heading out for coffee, walking to work or spending time outdoors? Check the UV — sun protection is needed when it reaches 3 or above, even if the day feels cool.

✧ Choose broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30 or 50+
✧ Apply 20 minutes before heading outside
✧ Reapply every two hours outdoors, and after swimming, sweating or towel drying
✧ Pair it with shade, protective clothing, a hat and sunglasses

A little preparation goes a long way 🤍

Your skin has its own story

The products you use, treatments you’ve tried, time in the sun and changes you’ve noticed all help us understand it.

That’s why we start by listening.

At your skin consultation, we’ll discuss your concerns, assess your skin and talk through suitable options — with clear explanations and plenty of time for questions.

Whether you’re starting fresh or rethinking your routine, we’re here to help you work out the next step.

There’s plenty to talk about beyond the label — how a product feels, where it fits in your routine and whether it suits your skin. Dr Perri is certainly here for it!

And yes, we could happily chat skincare all day

A lot happens before a treatment begins.

Careful preparation, the right products, appropriate protocols and attention to detail all play an important role in delivering treatment safely and consistently.

Here, Jo is preparing for treatment using medical-grade products in clinic. Each step is approached carefully, hygienically, and with the individual patient in mind.

At Collins Cosmetic Clinic, treatments are never one-size-fits-all. We take the time to assess, prepare and tailor each treatment appropriately, with safety, experience and evidence-based care at the centre of what we do.

Our approach to dermal therapy is grounded in evidence, clinical training and a strong understanding of skin health. It requires a Bachelor of Health Science in Dermal Therapies.

That means understanding not just how a treatment is performed, but why it may be appropriate, how the skin is likely to respond, when a treatment may not be suitable, and how to build a considered treatment plan around the individual.

At Collins Cosmetic Clinic, we believe good skin care starts with knowledge, careful assessment and treatments supported by evidence.

Not every case of acne is the same, so treatment shouldn't be either.✨

There are four main grades of acne, each with its own set of concerns - from congestion, blackheads and whiteheads through to more moderate to severe inflammatory breakouts.

At Collins Cosmetic Clinic, we take the time to properly assess your skin and grade of acne before recommending a plan. The focus is always on calming the skin, reducing congestion and supporting healthier skin function with a treatment plan suited to the individual. Depending on the skin this may included in clinic treatments, alongside appropriate home care and medical intervention if required.

These before an after results show the kind of improvement you can achieve with consistency, the right treatment approach and a little patience.

Not all facial redness is the same.

Redness can look similar on the surface, but the reason behind it can be very different.

For some people it may be related:
✨ Visible superficial vessels
✨ Persistent background redness
✨ Flushing
✨ Inflammation
✨ Rosacea
✨ Or a combination of several things

That's why we don't take a one-treatment-fits-all approach.

Before recommending a treatment, we look at the skin as a whole and cnsider what may be contributing to the redness, how the skin is behaving and what we're actually trying to address.

From there, we can determine whether a light based treatment, laser, skincare or another approach is appropriate.

The goal isn't simply to reduce redness, it's to understand the skin behind it.
