You know how much I love Rodeo 🤍

These Melbourne-made, tallow-based deodorants have become a firm favourite of mine, and they’ve recently been reformulated to make application even easier for those of us living in cooler climates (hello, Melbourne!).

Beautifully unisex, made with edible ingredients and available in four delicious options. What’s not to love?!

Melbourne has remembered what warm weather feels like this week and my goodness, I am here for it! ☀️

Daily Hydration isn’t only for those sweating it out at the gym, clocking up kilometres on the bike or heading out in their joggers. It’s designed for everyday hydration too - whether you’re exercising, working, pulling weeds or travelling. You can easily adjust the amount of water you add to make it taste a little saltier or more subtle, depending on your salty preference.

One thing I know for sure: since creating this blend, I am much better hydrated. Yes, because of the electrolytes - but also because I genuinely love the flavour, which means I keep going back to my bottle throughout the day. Obviously the best hydration habit is the one you actually enjoy keeping up with 💧

Which flavour are you reaching for - Pineapple or Lemon & Lime? 🍋‍🟩 🍍

Fellow Gen X women, remember when smaller thighs were the goal?!

This morning on our ride, Andrew looked at me and said, “Far out, your thighs are getting massive - what a beast!” (Nb. this was delivered as a compliment, not a criticism)

Now, I know we’re not supposed to comment on people’s bodies these days, but I’m definitely making an exception for this one.

Two things struck me.

Firstly, I was tickled pink. I’m putting in an enormous amount of work to get stronger for Three Peaks, and the fact that he could actually SEE that work paying off made me beam.

But secondly, I had this wonderful moment of realisation. I’m a Gen X woman. I grew up in an era when thin was everything. When the thigh gap was celebrated and women were encouraged to take up as little space as possible. And here I am, in my mid 50s, DELIGHTED that my thighs are getting bigger.

I’m so chuffed that this is where many women are at now. Not because of how we look, but because of our commitment to strength, and ageing well.

There’s something incredibly liberating about reaching an age where you no longer want to make yourself smaller. Instead, you just want to see how strong you can be.

BIG THIGHS UNITE! 🔥💪🏼👏🏻

(Oh and, Andrew is getting strong too so we’ll celebrate him as well 😂)

Creamy Vanilla Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie 🥜

An old THI smoothie recipe, newly upgraded with our Creamy Vanilla Goat Whey Protein. 🤍
Banana, peanut butter, yoghurt and creamy vanilla - a very delicious way to add more protein to breakfast or refuel after movement.

Serves 2

2 ripe bananas, preferably frozen
1 cup milk of choice, plus extra if needed
2 heaped tablespoons 100% natural peanut butter
2 heaped tablespoons Greek or natural yoghurt
2 heaped tablespoons Creamy Vanilla Goat Whey Protein
1 heaped teaspoon Marine Collagen with Hyaluronic Acid, optional
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
1 handful of ice, if using fresh bananas

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add another splash of milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.

Divide between two glasses and serve immediately.

Save this one for your next smoothie craving 😋

So I ask you, what’s one supposedly life-changing wellness habit you’ve given yourself permission NOT to do?

CYCLING DIARIES Ep. 7 🚴‍♀️

How easy is it to feel as though you’re not making much progress, especially when life throws you a curveball that gets in the way of the goal you’re working towards?

Lately, the stress of a rather monumental warehouse relocation has affected my sleep, my energy and, if I’m honest, my attitude. My mind has been in 58 different places, my nervous system has felt a little.. scrap that, a lot! battered and I haven’t been enjoying my training rides in the way I was previously.

There have been moments when I’ve questioned what on earth I’m doing working towards such a monumental cycling goal when all I really want to do is go home and go to bed.

I also have to report back to Coach Kate after my training, and lately I feel like a broken record: “Not on my game.”

But then I zoom out.

I look at how far I’ve already come, including all the interruptions and breaks along the way, and remember that a difficult few weeks don’t undo months - or years - of progress.

So if life has interrupted your momentum lately - whatever your goal might be - don’t mistake a difficult patch for a lack of progress. Zoom out, remember how far you’ve already come and trust that it’ll all come out in the wash. 🤍
