I don’t believe natural therapists should be chasing the title of healer.
Because this work doesn’t start with learning a modality, getting a certificate and suddenly deciding we have the answers for everybody else.
It starts with us.
With our own journey.
Getting to know our patterns.
Our beliefs.
Our conditioning.
Our triggers.
The stories we’ve carried for years without ever stopping to ask whether they’re actually ours.
It starts with pulling things apart.
Questioning.
Unlearning.
Relearning.
Getting curious about why we react the way we do, why the same situations keep appearing, why certain things hit a nerve and why we sometimes keep walking through the same bloody door expecting to find a different room.
And one modality is never the whole answer.
I’ve never believed you learn one thing and you’re done.
Because people aren’t textbooks.
What creates an enormous shift for one person might do absolutely nothing for another.
So we keep learning.
We explore the body, breath, nervous system, mind, emotions, energy, beliefs, behaviour, relationships and all the strange little pieces that make us beautifully complicated humans.
And somewhere in that process, something changes.
Our own healing journey begins to show us that other people are carrying pain too.
Not because they’re broken.
Not because they need rescuing.
But because sometimes they simply haven’t been given the keys to their own kingdom yet.
And THAT, to me, is where the role of a natural therapist begins.
Not standing above someone saying,
“I can heal you."
No. I cannot heal you.
And anyone promising to swoop in and magically fix your entire life should probably come with a cape and a healthy dose of scepticism.
What I can do is walk beside you.
I can share what I’ve learned.
I can offer tools.
I can help you recognise patterns you may not have been able to see from inside them.
I can create a space where you feel safe enough to become curious about yourself.
I can help calm your nervous system to allow change.
I can help you find the key.
But you turn it.
You decide whether that door opens a tiny crack today.
You decide whether you fling the bloody thing wide open.
You decide whether you’re ready to make a change at all.
Because it is your body.
Your life.
Your timing.
Your choices.
Your journey.
And everyone’s journey will look different.
Not everyone will resonate with me.
They’re not supposed to.
I won’t have every piece of your puzzle, and neither will any other therapist, teacher or practitioner.
But every person we meet can carry a piece of knowledge, wisdom or experience that brings us one step closer to understanding ourselves.
One puzzle piece closer to peace.
One piece closer to joy.
One piece closer to feeling at home inside ourselves.
Perhaps that is what this work is really about.
Not creating followers.
Not becoming somebody’s healer.
But helping people remember that the keys were never meant to stay in somebody else’s hands.
They belong in yours.
