Australians Daylight Savings and Health β°
Daylight Saving Time has officially kicked in, but the morning sun remains your circadian rhythms strongest anchor. βοΈ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12502225/
If you prefer keeping your body tuned to standard natural light. Moving your routine an hour earlier and getting natural sunlight within an hour of waking up will help keep your sleep-wake cycles steady and support deeper sleep at night.
I think I'll go to bed at 9 pm instead of 10 pm to keep to my usual 10 pm bedtime. I don't want to miss that first hr of morning light that is so important for sleep.
Why? Morning light stops melatonin, starts a timer for it to return 12 to 14 hours later right at bedtime.π π€
We know lights important but I asked AI the question will I be healthier to stick to non daylight savings timing for sleep and the answer was Yes.
Daylight savings was implemented in war times for economic advantages not for health.
