Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is a publicly funded health service, in Mildura, Victoria, 550 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. SCHS takes a holistic approach to the needs of clients and the community with an emphasis on continuous quality improvement and excellence in service delivery based on the principles of collaborative primary care. SCHS has been operating in the Sunraysia area since 1976. A not for profit organisation, employing over 200 staff, SCHS offers Mildura and surrounding communities in excess of 50 different services. October marks the start of the grass pollen season in Victoria, and the start of epidemic thunderstorm asthma risk forecasting.

Thunderstorm asthma although uncommon, can be sudden, serious, and life threatening for people with asthma or hay fever.

No appointment. No awkward questions. Just collect your test, complete it in private and return it via Australia Post.

Have you heard about our new program? The Seniors Lifestyle Victoria program supports older community members aged 65+, or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to stay active, healthy, independent, and socially connected.

The free program offers personalised support, working with you to create a personalised plan based on your goals and interests. Support may include:
✅ Physical activity
✅ Healthy eating and nutrition
✅ Medication management
✅ Social connection and wellbeing

Thank you for celebrating NAIDOC Week with us! ❤️💛🖤

It was fantastic to see so many community members, partners and staff come together to celebrate the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A special thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible. Your hard work and dedication created a welcoming space where our community could come together to connect and celebrate.

This year marks 50 years of celebrating NAIDOC, recognising the strength, resilience, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

There are plenty of fantastic events happening across Mildura this week, so together let's celebrate our shared history, our strong community, and the next generation who will continue this deadly legacy.
