🎲 One year of Board Games Group at the Hub! 🎲

One whole year of Hub Life, games, laughter, friendships and plenty of friendly competition! 💙

This month we’re celebrating 1 year of our Board Games Group, and what a year it has been!
What started with an idea from Emmy has grown into a regular part of Hub life, bringing people together to play, connect, share a laugh and simply enjoy being part of their community.

A huge thank you to Emmy, who has poured so much creativity and care into making this group what it is. From coming up with the original idea, creating all of our amazing posters, preparing the food, setting up the Hub and even creating this beautiful birthday window display… there is a LOT of Em behind the scenes! 🥰🎲🎨

And a very special thank you to our wonderful staff team, who bring so much enthusiasm, energy and care to making the group space welcoming and enjoyable for everyone who walks through the door. 💙

It’s the little things that make a space feel like your space… having people who know you, games you enjoy, food to share, a place to belong and people who are genuinely excited to see you.

That’s what we love about Hub Life. ❤️

Here's something VERY exciting to look forward to...
The YP Monopoly Board Game launches in March 2027! 🎉

We are super keen to celebrate the launch with our Under 16s and Over 16s Games Groups at the Hub!

We can’t wait to see our own local places, businesses and community represented on a Monopoly board!

We can't wait to get our hands on it and see who becomes the ultimate YP property mogul! 😂

🎲 Pass Go on a New Yorke Peninsula Adventure! 🎲
Council has endorsed funding, with costs to be fully recovered through participating businesses and retailers, for a custom Yorke Peninsula Monopoly board game, designed to showcase the region's communities, attractions and iconic landmarks.
With strong support from local retailers, the game is expected to launch in March 2027, giving residents and visitors a fun new way to celebrate Yorke Peninsula while supporting local businesses.

🎶🎨 Music & Craft Group is crafting together a few changes! 🎨🎶

We’ve got a new time, a new donation request, and even a new face joining us! 👀✨

Our Music & Craft Group is a relaxed space to get creative, bring your instruments and make some music, try something new, and connect with others.

Whether you love crafting, making music, or simply spending time in a welcoming space, we’d love to see you!

📅 When: This fortnight, 15th September on Tuesday, then every 2 weeks
🕐 Time: 1pm–3pm
📍 Where: Enabling Country Hub, 23 Main Street, Minlaton
💛 Who: Everyone is welcome
💰 Donation: $5 to help us cover materials and running costs.

🍕 A little Hub update… with pizza!

Things have been a little quiet on our socials lately....but behind the scenes, there has been A LOT happening at the Hub! 💜

We’ve welcomed new staff, new equipment and some exciting new opportunities for the people we support.

And tonight, our commercial kitchen is getting a workout as we get ready to cheer on the Kickers in the Minlaton Futsal Grand Final! ⚽️🍕

Whether you're a seasoned hero or have never rolled a D20 before, everyone is welcome. We'll learn the together with a few experienced adventurers to jump straight into the action.

Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North (RDAYMN) is currently planning the delivery of our FREE Career in Care and Pathways to Childcare training programs for 2027 — and we want locals to help us decide where these programs are needed most.

We are inviting potential students across the Yorke and Mid North region to complete a short Expression of Interest survey:

❤️ Career in Care For people interested in making a difference through careers in aged care, disability support or community services.

Both programs include national accredited training plus additional support such as friendly trainers, mentoring and tutoring, employability skills, budgeting, mental health and resume workshops, with a strong focus on building confidence and preparing students for employment or further training.
