Meaghan South - Vitality Helping you thrive in four places: your health, your wellness business, your home and your team. Meaghan xx

For 25 years I've worked where two worlds meet: the business of wellness and the health of the people it serves. I can help with:
• Your health – more energy, better sleep and feeling like yourself again – through 1:1 coaching and my 8-week online gut health program for women 40+
• Your team – Lunch & Learn sessions and the Leading with Vitality program, helping women leaders reset their health and keep leading with energy and clarity
• Your wellness business – a spa, medispa or wellness space that is beautiful, functional, profitable and truly memorable for your guests
• Your home – a home designed to uplevel your health, from a sauna, cold plunge and steam room to engineering your bedroom for sleep, your kitchen for nutrition and the environment for calm. I opened The Dome Retreat in 1998, transformed Outshine Beauty Medispa and founded KAILO Wellness Medispa at The Calile Hotel. Through Spa Solutions I've advised Mirvac, O'Reilly's, Virgin Active, Cavcorp and TotalFusion Platinum. After burning out in my 40s, I rebuilt my health with a gut-healing protocol alongside Dr Agnes Warchalowski – and now guide women through the same personalised reset. Founding President, Australian Spa Association | Former President, Women Chiefs of Enterprise International (Qld) | Institute for Integrative Nutrition. DM me to book a complimentary call – about your health, your business, your home or your team.

The 12-minute strength plan built for women who travel and don't have an hour for the gym.

You don't need a gym membership or an hour you don't have – you need a handful of compound moves (squats, push-ups, rows, lunges) done with intention, three times a week. Twelve minutes, consistently, beats an hour you keep skipping.

Swipe for the exact plan I use with 8-Week Program clients who travel for work.

Enquire about the 8-Week Group Program. Thanks to Bio-Alai for sharing.

The Global Wellness Institute valued wellness real estate at US$438 billion in 2023, up from US$225 billion in 2019, and forecasts US$913 billion by 2028.

The trouble is, 'wellness' is often just a word in the brochure. A sauna squeezed into the garage. A spa bath. A nice view.

After years designing and running spaces built for recovery, I look at a home differently. What helps you sleep? What helps you move? What helps you feel calm when you walk in the door? Air, light, water, sound, materials, thermal recovery and a space to switch off – planned in, not added on.

For developers, it's a point of difference. For homeowners, it's a long-term health investment. Swipe for the seven areas I look at in any home wellness brief.

I'm joining a panel to speak on Wellness Real Estate at the Australian Spa and Wellness Summit this Tuesday, 27 October.

French Summer Beef Ragout – a fresh twist on the classic, made with white w**e instead of red. The beef marinates in w**e and herbs, then slow-cooks with smoky bacon and sweet carrots until meltingly tender. Nourishing but not too heavy, so it's just as good in summer as winter.

Pop it in the marinade this morning and it's ready for dinner tonight! Swipe for the recipe and save it for your weekend cook-up. Full recipe on my website – link in bio.

What does 30 grams of protein at breakfast actually look like? Three eggs. Or a scoop of protein in your smoothie, or 100 grams of animal protein.

Most of that mid-morning brain fog, energy crash and late night snacking traces back to one thing: not enough protein first thing. A protein-first breakfast steadies your blood sugar for the whole morning and sets you up for a successful day – steadier mood, sharper focus, no 10am crash.

This is an excerpt from my 8-week online gut health program.

Try it tomorrow and tell me how your 11am felt.

What speaking to a room of women in leadership about health and performance confirmed about where corporate wellness is heading.

The questions I got afterward weren't about meditation apps or gym memberships. They were about ROI, retention, and how to have a genuinely useful conversation with senior women about symptoms that are currently costing organisations institutional knowledge and leadership pipeline – quietly, and largely unmeasured.

Corporate wellness is shifting from a perks-and-benefits conversation to a workforce-capability conversation. The organisations getting ahead of this aren't adding another wellness app to the intranet. They're building genuine health literacy into how they support senior talent, the same way they'd invest in any other retention risk.

This is exactly the gap my Lunch & Learn sessions and the 8-Week Program are built to close for organisations ready to move past the surface-level offering.

DM to discuss a session for your organisation.

Your gut is your control centre, it's not just about digestion. It's wired into immunity, hormones, skin, brain function, energy and longevity.

And often when we are at the peak of our careers and have a full family life, our hormones start to shift through menopause. A decline in oestrogen impacts our gut function, which is why looking after our gut plays such an important role in all areas of your health as we age.

What we could eat 5 years ago or 5 months ago, now doesn't agree with us and could be impacting our energy just when we need it the most. Choose wisely, everything you eat is either giving you energy or taking it away.

Recently, I hosted a 'Leading with Vitality' Workshop for the Women Chiefs of Enterprise. Here's the one stat I keep coming back to as I prepped: 14% of women by age 55 have considered turning down a leadership opportunity or have already left the workforce due to health symptoms (MetLife Australia, 2024).

This isn't an ambition or capability problem – it's a capacity issue. Women are often juggling so much at home and work, there's a limit to how much they can hold if they are also juggling menopause or health symptoms. It's a support and energy issue – and one that organisations can actually do something about. And one I'm very passionate about as there are women suffering and solutions available.

Messages like this from clients are the best part of my week.

Thank you, Angie, for letting me share your words. Feeling well again rarely comes from one big change – however my Lifelong Vitality Programme including a medical-grade gut health reset combined with consistent steady shifts in how you eat, sleep and look after yourself, done with the right support allows you to feel the best you have in decades.

If you're ready to feel like yourself again, DM me to book a complimentary call.

Eat the rainbow: the 30+ plant foods a week target for a diverse and abundant microbiome.

Researchers at the American Gut Project found people eating more than 30 different plant foods a week had a noticeably more diverse gut microbiome than those eating 10 or fewer – and diversity is linked to lower inflammation and better immune function.

Herbs, spices, legumes and nuts all count, not just fruit and veg. Try adding a veggie or fruit you don't normally eat this week and build up to 30.

Save this for your next grocery run. This photo is my favourite organic farmer's stall at my local farmers market I visit early every Saturday morning. Anton is my first stop to stock up on what is fresh and in season so I know I've supercharged the nourishment of my family.
