Amity Behaviour Consulting is a positive behaviour support (PBS) and applied behaviour analysis practice based in Moreton Bay, Queensland, providing services online across Australia. Amity offers specialist consultation, training and clinical supervision for schools, allied health professionals, PBS practitioners and NDIS support workers.
Amity is led by Candice Heffernan, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and registered Advanced PBS Practitioner with a Master of Education in Applied Behaviour Analysis, a Bachelor of Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Services include:
* Consultation for schools, families and support teams
* Clinical supervision for PBS practitioners, BCBAs and CBAs
* Professional development and training, including in-person workshops and self-paced on demand courses on topics such as Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), practitioner burnout, and restrictive practices for allied health
* NDIS behaviour support, including behaviour support plans and Baseline Behaviour Assessments
All work is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, person-centred, strengths-based and focused on reducing and eliminating restrictive practices, with quality of life at the centre. Because the best plans are built with people, not for them.
Candice will be travelling across Australia in 2027 to support rural and remote towns, delivering in-person training and intensive behaviour support to families, individuals and professionals who have limited access to local PBS practitioners.
