It is with a sad heart that we say goodbye to our dear friend and former Support Worker, Emme. Emme worked within aged care facilities, providing one on one engagement to people who often felt alone.Her unique brand of story telling, imagination, playfulness, and love provided her clients with so much more than just a support worker. She gave her clients joy and laughter when they often felt isolated and alone. She provided peace of mind to families who desperately wanted to be there for loved one but circumstances kept them away.

Within our community, she was the unsung hero for people who lived in the margins. Her giant hugs and gentle words were always kind. Rest in peace, you most precious gem of a girl. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

But people with disabilities are resilient and clever and smart and so much more! This month we are celebrating the amazing people in our lives who have visible and invisible disabilities. We are so lucky to get to be part of their world!

That's why we're proud to support Sweat with Pride, a fundraiser raising vital funds for LGBTQIA+ services across Australia.

As a physiotherapist, I am passionate about helping people feel healthy, confident, and happy in their bodies, regardless of their disability, gender identity, background, or any barriers they may face. Everyone deserves the opportunity to move through life with comfort, dignity, and support.

Many LGBTQIA+ Australians experience barriers when accessing healthcare and support services, leading to poorer health outcomes and reduced access to the care they need.

The LGBTQIA+ community is disproportionately affected by gaps in health, mental health, and community support services. Organisations funded through Sweat with Pride help address these inequities by providing advocacy, education, connection, and essential support for people across Australia.

We're taking part because everyone deserves the opportunity to access quality care and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
