We would like to say a huge “thank you” to CWA of WA Kirkalocka Branch for their generous donation of $1,400 to go towards the purchase of new training equipment.

We are very grateful & look forward to see what we can purchase to enhance training.

Last night the team got together for our regular training night. We carried out our training scenario out at the Amphitheatre. A brilliant night, enjoyed by all.

✨Happy International Day of Rural Women✨

Today we celebrate the incredible rural women who help keep communities like Mount Magnet strong, connected and cared for. To the women who generously give their time, skills and compassion to support healthcare in our town. Whether volunteering with St John WA, providing care, supporting community wellbeing, or stepping up when help is needed, their contribution makes a real difference to the lives of others.

Rural women are often the quiet achievers behind the scenes, balancing family, work, community commitments and volunteering, all while helping to ensure essential services remain available in remote communities.

On this International Day of Rural Women, we thank and celebrate ALL the women whose dedication, resilience and kindness help make Mount Magnet a stronger and healthier place for everyone.

Our VDO Emma & CP Dan ran a catch-up training session for some of our volunteers today. Covering a wide variety of subjects - CPR, childbirth & envenomation to name a few.

Congratulations to Cecilia who is now finished her training subjects for 2026 🎉

The team got together tonight for our regular training session. A fun session going through some changes to our practice. The evening was made better by the arrival of our new trauma limb. This gives the volunteers a more ‘real life’ scenario in placing a tourniquet - another brilliant addition to our training equipment.
