From the University of Sydney...

🧠 Coming soon: The Social Brain Toolkit Virtual Clinic!

We’re working on a new way to support people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in building their communication skills. We’d love your input.

💬 In this virtual clinic, people with TBI will work with speech pathology students, guided by our experienced educators.
🤝 Peer mentors (other people with a brain injury) will also be part of the team. They will offer extra support and connection.
🌐 The clinic will be online and open to English speaking adults in Australia living with a traumatic brain injury.
📣 We’re planning the clinic, and your voice matters. We want to hear from people with TBI, their family, health professionals and speech pathology students.
📝 Take our short survey to help shape this exciting initiative. People who complete the survey will have the opportunity to enter the draw for 1 of 5 $50 gift cards.

Concussion can happen anywhere — on the sporting field, at home, at work or on the road.

This Brain Injury Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on traumatic brain injury (TBI).

TBI can happen to anyone, at any time. A fall, a road crash, a sporting injury or an accident at home can change a life in an instant. And while some effects are visible, many are not.

Throughout the week we’ll be sharing information and resources to help build greater understanding of TBI, its impact and the road to recovery.

Because greater awareness leads to better understanding, better support and better outcomes.

This Brain Injury Awareness Week, let’s Tackle TBI Together. 💙

Good luck, Emily!
Tomorrow, on the 26th of July it will be 6 years since Emily was injured and suffered a concussion. What better way to mark the day than to raise awareness of TBI by running 30km from the Adelaide hills into the city. Thank you so much for helping us Tackle TBI together, Emily! We'll be cheering you on 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Today is World Brain Day. The message of the day - access for all. Brain health is more than a medical priority; it is a social and economic necessity. Healthy brains are essential for people to learn, work, care for their families, and participate in society.

Traumatic brain injury is one of the most complex – and most misunderstood health challenges facing Australians today.

At Connectivity, we are working towards a world where people living with traumatic brain injury are seen, understood and supported to live well.

Let's Tackle TBI together. 200,000 people will suffer a traumatic brain injury (TBI) every year in Australia.

Maybe it was a fall. A collision. A moment on a sports field that nobody saw coming.
A moment that divides life into before and after.

And in the days and weeks that follow, that person - and the family who loves them - will desperately search for answers. What does this mean? What happens now? Where do we go from here?

Your donation will help us close the gap between TBI knowledge and the people who need it most.

Make a donation by the end of the day to gift in this financial year. Donations of over $2 are tax deductible via https://donate.connectivity.org.au/
