If you could tell the world ONE thing about colonics, what would it be? 💫

I’m on my way to film for a documentary right now, and I’m thinking about all of you. The people who walked through our doors curious, a little nervous, maybe sceptical, and walked out feeling something shift.

Colon hydrotherapy still sits outside the mainstream. Most people only know the jokes, not the stories. But you know the truth of what it has given you.

Maybe it was lighter digestion. Maybe it was more energy, clearer skin, better sleep. Maybe it was something deeper, a sense of letting go, of finally listening to your body again.

Whether you’ve experienced Rojas or traditional colonics, I’d love to hear from you.

That quiet voice inside you has a purpose.

Some call it spirit. Some call it consciousness. Some call it knowing, or God. A quiet current under the noise, older than thought, asking why you’re here.

I’ve sat with hundreds of bodies over the years. Not one of them was only flesh and bone. Every single one was asking the same question underneath.

I don’t think it needs a name. I think it needs room: room to be heard, room to be felt and room to lead.

In Week 6 of Body’s Wisdom, Spirit’s Journey, my 8-week online program, we go there, into the part of you that already knows.

What do you call it? Tell me below 👇

“If colonics really worked, there’d be more research.” Not necessarily. 💰

A proper clinical trial needs ethics approval, researchers, recruitment, data management and safety monitoring, and that costs serious money. Most big trials are funded by drug and device companies, because they need the evidence to get their products approved and sold.

Colon hydrotherapy doesn’t have that engine. There’s no major sponsor and no regulatory deadline pushing anyone to fund large trials, and it’s mostly delivered by small clinics and independent practitioners, not universities and hospitals.

That explains why the research is limited. It doesn’t prove colonics work, and it doesn’t prove they don’t. “There aren’t many studies” is not the same as “science tested it and it failed.”

Before you trust any health headline, ask who paid for the research. 🔍

The gut digests. The brain thinks. The heart pumps. Separate systems, separate specialists.

That view has given us a lot. But it can leave you feeling like your body is something to control rather than understand. And the science keeps pointing the other way: your gut and brain are in constant conversation, through your nerves, your immune system and the chemistry of your gut bacteria.

Suzy calls her approach bioharmony: seeing your body as an intelligent, self-regulating system that’s always giving you signals, if you know how to listen.

That’s the heart of her 8-week program, Body’s Wisdom, Spirit’s Journey: a guided way back into relationship with your body. 🌿

It’s simply your ability to feel what’s going on inside you: hunger, tension, your breath, that flutter in your belly.

Try this quick check-in with me right now 👇
✨ Where do you feel your breath?
✨ Is your belly soft or tight?
✨ Are your shoulders down, or up around your ears?
✨ Is anything asking for your attention?

Don’t try to fix it. Just notice it first. Making sense of what you notice is a whole skill of its own.

I teach the full practice in Week 2 of Body’s Wisdom, Spirit’s Journey, my 8-week online program.

The results:

✔️ 50% of the hydrotherapy group had an “excellent” prep, vs 17.2% with more laxative
✔️ Prep took 50 minutes instead of 100
✔️ Gut side effects: 30.4% vs 82.8% (no nausea or vomiting in the hydrotherapy group)
✔️ 71.4% would do it again, vs 31%

The overall rate of “adequate” prep wasn’t significantly different between the groups, and this was a hospital setting with a different device, not a Rojas or wellness trial. But it’s colon hydrotherapy, tested head-to-head and measured inside the colon.

Emma unpacks the full trial at the link in our bio. 👇

Your digestion isn’t something to force into compliance.

Listen first, then support.

It’s the question we hear most before someone’s first session, and it sounds logical. But your microbiome isn’t a loose layer of bacteria sitting in your bowel, waiting to be rinsed out. Gut microbes live in complex communities: in stool, in the mucus layer and along the gut lining.

So what happened when researchers actually looked? A 2021 study followed 11 young people using bowel irrigation every second day for three months. Their microbiome wasn’t stripped bare. The bacterial mix shifted instead, including increases in Roseburia and Bacteroides.

The study looked at young people with spina bifida using transanal irrigation, not Rojas Colon Hydrotherapy®. But the “washed away” claim? That’s not what the science found.

Emma breaks down the full study at the link in our bio. Share this with the friend who always says it. 👇

It’s not a full-on blast. It’s not a big, hard flush.

With closed colon hydrotherapy using the Rojas technique, the system is private, contained and hygienic. The water moves slowly and gently, and a trained therapist guides the whole session, working with your body’s rhythm, not against it.

The goal isn’t to force anything. It’s to support a body that already knows what to do.

Inside my 8-week online program, Body’s Wisdom, Spirit’s Journey, colon hydrotherapy is about education. You’ll find it in Week 5, and it’s completely optional.

Enrolments are open now. Link in bio 🤍

“It’s just your age.” How many times have you heard that? 🤔

The stiff joints. The tiredness that won’t lift. The blood pressure creeping up. We’re told it’s simply the price of another birthday.

A major 2026 study in Nature Communications looked at 1,199 adults aged 20 to 72 and measured 30 inflammatory markers in their blood. For 97% of those markers, the makeup of people’s gut bacteria explained more of the variation than their age did.

It’s an observational study, so it shows links, not cause, and it didn’t look at colon hydrotherapy. But the researchers described the gut microbiome as “potentially modifiable”, and that’s the word Suzy wants you to hold onto.

Your birthday is fixed. Your inner ecosystem isn’t. 🌱
