Ever wondered what an occupational therapist carries on a home visit? Bree has opened her OT bag for OT Week! Swipe to see what’s inside.
A few of our favourites:
- Anti-slip samples and a non-slip mat to try out in wet areas
- Threshold ramps in different heights, to see what works at a doorway
- Easy-grip cutlery and foam grips that make pens and pencils simpler to hold
- A jar opener, because stubborn lids shouldn’t stop anyone cooking
- A dressing stick, a leg lifter and a long-handled sponge for the tricky-to-reach bits
- A big-button phone and a personal alarm watch, so help is always close
- A tape measure, level and tools to measure up and adjust equipment on the spot
Every person is different, so every bag ends up a little different too. The right tool can make a daily task so much easier and safer.
