🍃 A BEAUTIFUL GOODBYE TO OUR OLD GUARDIAN

For 18 years, this magnificent old guardian stood beside our home, its enormous branches stretching out like the arms of a dragon, almost as though it was embracing and protecting everything within. It watched our family grow, welcomed countless beautiful souls through the doors of Quest to Heal, and became part of the energy and presence of our home.

For those of you who have visited me for a healing, you will probably recognise this enormous yucca tree that stood proudly beside our front entrance. It was almost impossible to miss, and its beautiful presence is certainly going to be missed.

I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, to the earth, the trees, the plants and the energy that surrounds all living things. I often speak to the trees around our property, acknowledging their presence and thanking them for everything they bring into our environment.

Unfortunately, over the years, our beautiful yucca had grown so enormous that its roots were beginning to lift around the foundations of our home, and its branches towered above our roof. As much as I loved it, we knew the time had come for it to be removed.

Last night, knowing what was going to happen this morning, I went outside and spoke to it.

I thanked it for the 18 years it had stood beside our home, for its strength, its protection and its presence throughout all those years. I told it that its time here had come to an end and that it was free to move on, to make another choice, wherever that may be.

I also asked that, before its physical body was removed, its energy and spirit gently release from its roots and physical form, so that whatever happened the following morning, it would be free and at peace.

What happened this morning is something I will never forget.

I was sitting quietly with my coffee, admiring this magnificent old tree one last time, knowing the tree lopper would be arriving shortly.

And then, completely unexpectedly, I felt the most enormous movement of energy.

It was as though this incredible presence came through our front door, moved through me and filled our entire home. The energy was immense, so powerful that I was completely overwhelmed with emotion. I felt as though I could burst into tears, almost like I was saying goodbye to a dear old friend.

Yet what I felt wasn’t sadness. It was the most extraordinary feeling of love and gratitude, almost as though this beautiful old guardian was thanking me as much as I had thanked it the night before.

The magnitude of that energy is something I can barely put into words. It felt enormous, just like the physical presence of the tree itself, filling our entire home with this incredible sense of love, gratitude and farewell.

And then came the most beautiful feeling of peace.

When the tree lopper began removing the yucca, I felt completely at ease. Within my own spiritual understanding, it was as though the essence of this beautiful old guardian had already departed, leaving behind only its physical form.

I’ve been reflecting on that experience ever since.

We often move through our lives surrounded by nature, sometimes forgetting just how much these living things contribute to our world. The trees that shelter us, the roots that hold the earth, the plants that bring life into our gardens and the extraordinary relationship we share with the natural world.

For me, today’s experience was a beautiful reminder of that connection, and of the importance of gratitude, respect and honouring the natural cycles of life.

I know everyone experiences and understands energy differently, and I can only share what I personally felt. But after working with energy for so many years, this was one of those moments that touched me somewhere incredibly deep.

Eighteen years of standing together, and one extraordinary goodbye.

Thank you, my beautiful old guardian, for everything you brought to our home. May your energy continue wherever it is meant to go.

🤍With love, Nadine x

🌿 TO ALL MY NEW FOLLOWERS, HERE’S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Nadine Bear, the face behind Quest to Heal.

A heartfelt welcome to everyone who’s recently joined my page, and thank you to all my beautiful clients and followers for your continued love and support. After six years of growing and nurturing Quest to Heal, I thought I’d share a little more about who I am, what I do and why I’m so passionate about this work.

Before becoming an intuitive energy healer, I spent 13 years in the WA Police Force, working as a police officer, detective and specialist child interviewer.

I’ve often wondered how I went from policing to intuitive energy healing, but I’ve come to realise that the detective in me never really retired!

I’m still investigating, observing, asking questions and piecing things together. These days, though, I’m exploring the fascinating connections between people, energy, consciousness and spirit. I bring that same curiosity, compassion and discernment into every healing, and creating a space where people feel comfortable, respected and able to be themselves is incredibly important to me.

🌿 THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF ENERGY

One of the things I often talk about in my healings is the ripple effect. Imagine dropping a small stone into still water and watching the ripples travel outwards, touching everything in their path. I believe our energy works in a similar way. Every experience, emotion, relationship and interaction creates a ripple, connecting us to people, places and environments, sometimes in ways we don’t consciously recognise.

Think about how you can walk into a room and immediately sense tension without anyone saying a word, or spend time with someone and leave feeling either uplifted or completely drained. I believe we are constantly exchanging and responding to energy, and over time, some of those experiences can leave impressions within our energetic field. The emotional baggage we carry, the patterns we inherit through our families and the experiences we haven’t fully processed can all become part of those ripples.

What I find especially beautiful is that the ripple effect also works through healing. When we begin releasing what feels heavy, strengthening our boundaries and reconnecting with ourselves, the changes can reach into our relationships, our homes and the way we move through everyday life. One small shift within ourselves can create ripples far beyond what we initially imagined.

🌿 SO, WHAT DO I ACTUALLY DO?

Every healing is different, and sometimes even I’m amazed by where the experience takes me. Here’s a little glimpse into the different areas I explore.

🔎 Energetic Investigation & Clearing: Exploring the energy field, identifying heaviness, energetic attachments, cords and blockages, and working towards clearing and restoring balance.

💗 Emotional Healing: Exploring emotional wounds, trauma, recurring patterns and experiences that may still be weighing someone down.

🌳 Ancestral & Family Connections: Looking at inherited patterns, family history and emotional experiences that can ripple through generations.

🕊️ Spirit Communication: Connecting intuitively with loved ones in spirit, guides and spiritual teams, and sharing messages or impressions that come through.

🔮 Earthbound Spirits & Entities: Exploring spiritual presences and their stories, sometimes bringing awareness and acknowledgement to an earthbound spirit as part of helping it move on.

🌌 Past Lives & Multidimensional Connections: Exploring impressions of other lifetimes, soul origins, starseeds, crystalline energies, ancient civilisations and spiritual connections beyond our physical world.

🦅 Spirit Animals, Symbols & Visions: Exploring the messages behind animals, colours, sacred geometry and visions, including their connections to our chakras and energetic experiences.

✨ Chakras, Third Eye & Intuitive Awareness: Working with the chakra system and helping people explore their intuition, expand their energy field and become more aware of their own energetic experiences.

🌿 Grounding, Boundaries & Sovereignty: Sharing practical ways to feel more grounded, strengthen energetic boundaries and reconnect with your own sense of self.

🌿 WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT TO ME?

I think somewhere along the way, we’ve almost normalised feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed and emotionally heavy. We’ve become so accustomed to carrying the pressures of life that sometimes we forget what it feels like to be light, peaceful, grounded and genuinely joyful.

Of course, life brings difficult experiences, and we’re here to feel those emotions too. But I believe we can learn to move through those moments with greater awareness, care and compassion, rather than continuing to carry their weight.

For me, healing is about helping people release some of that heaviness, reconnect with themselves and discover a greater sense of freedom, clarity and balance.

Some clients experience colours, visions, spirit animals or energetic sensations during their sessions. Others simply feel deeply relaxed or notice a shift in how they’re feeling. There’s no expectation to experience anything in particular, and I love helping people understand and explore whatever unfolds for them.

What continues to inspire me is seeing people begin to recognise their own strength, become more aware of their energy and discover how much can change when they start reconnecting with themselves. I believe that when we create a positive shift within ourselves, that ripple can extend into our families, relationships and the world around us.

✨ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗬 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 ✨

Real experiences, extraordinary moments and some of the things I’ve personally witnessed over the years.

I’ve had some truly amazing transformational experiences within my healings over the years. Some of the things I’ve witnessed energetically have been extraordinary, and I often wonder how much we really understand about the energy we carry.

This has happened more than once now, where people have come to me with heart problems, breathing problems or other things happening within their bodies, and during their healing I’ve encountered what I perceive to be a lost soul, an earthbound spirit, sitting within their energy system.

One experience involved a woman who had been experiencing heart problems. During her healing, I encountered an earthbound spirit who, from what I was shown, had passed away from a heart attack. I gently communicated with him, helping him become conscious of his passing and guiding him on with love and kindness. Following her healing, she reported significant improvements in her health and wellbeing.

Another experience involved a woman where, during her healing, I intuitively sensed what felt like a lump within her lung. She later underwent medical investigations and was diagnosed with lung cancer. Thankfully, it was detected early, allowing her to receive treatment.

I’m not a medical medium. I simply go with whatever comes through during a healing. Sometimes it’s emotional, sometimes spiritual, and sometimes something comes through that encourages someone to investigate what’s happening within their physical body.

Sometimes the earthbound spirits I encounter don’t even realise they’ve passed. They can be caught in an energetic loop, literally reliving the same experience over and over again, completely unconscious of what’s actually happened.

I remember when my son was younger, he was very spiritually aware, and one evening he experienced a woman appearing in his room. He described her as wearing clothing from around the 1850s, and she was crying because she had lost her baby and couldn’t find her.

As we worked with her energy, I came to understand that both she and her baby had died during childbirth. Yet she was still caught in that moment of losing her child, reliving the same experience over and over again, completely unconscious of what had actually happened.

And this is what I find so fascinating. Even though this experience appeared to be from the 1850s, my understanding is that time doesn’t exist in the spiritual realm the way it does here in our three-dimensional world. So while more than 170 years had passed in our physical reality, for her, it was as though she was still living that exact moment, over and over again, completely unaware that time had passed.

We gently communicated with her, helping her raise her energetic frequency and become more conscious of her circumstances. As her energy began to shift, I was shown that her baby was waiting for her in the light, and we were able to guide her towards what I experienced as a beautiful reunion.

And this is something I find absolutely extraordinary.

When I first encounter these energies, they can feel incredibly dull, heavy and dense. But as I communicate with them and their consciousness begins to shift, the frequency changes. Everything becomes lighter, there’s this beautiful goosebumpy feeling, and sometimes it feels as though the entire room lights up.

I’ve had so many clients, lying there with their eyes closed, suddenly ask me, “Oh my God, did you just turn a light on?”

And this has happened over and over again during my healings.

When I encounter these energies, I work with love and kindness. I talk to them like I would another human being, helping them become conscious of what’s happening and gently guiding them in a different direction.

And this is something I question every day. How many of us are actually conscious of how we’re meant to feel energetically?

Sometimes people feel heavy, depressed, anxious or experience unusual sensations in their bodies, and they naturally think something is wrong with them. They may never consider exploring their energetic wellbeing alongside their physical health.

It’s also about understanding our own energy, our boundaries and our sovereignty. Just like people who don’t have spatial awareness, we can become so accustomed to allowing energies into our space that we forget we can consciously choose our boundaries and ask for our space to be respected.

There’s just such amazing things that can happen energetically within healings, and even after all these years, some of what I experience still amazes me.

🍃 HO’OPONOPONO

The Power of Forgiveness, Compassion and Letting Go

I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

There is something I have been practising for probably seven or eight years now, and I wanted to share it because I truly believe it has changed the way I experience relationships, hurt, forgiveness and, most importantly, myself.

It’s a beautiful Hawaiian practice called Ho’oponopono, which I came to know through Dr Hew Len.

Throughout our lives, we are going to experience people who hurt us, misunderstand us, betray us, judge us or simply walk away. Sometimes we will understand why, and sometimes we won’t. Sometimes we will have the opportunity to sit down, have that conversation and find understanding together. And sometimes that conversation will never happen.

But what happens to all that pain when there is no conversation? When there is no apology, no explanation, no acknowledgement of what happened?

Where does it go?

So often, we continue carrying it. We replay conversations, question ourselves, revisit what was said or done, and hold on to these invisible energetic threads connecting us to an experience that has already passed.

And sometimes the person who hurt us has moved on with their life, while we are still carrying the weight of what happened.

This is where Ho’oponopono has been such a beautiful practice in my own life.

At the heart of the approach taught by Dr Hew Len is the concept of taking 100% responsibility for our own experience. For me, that means recognising that while I cannot control another person’s choices, behaviour, understanding or reactions, I can take responsibility for what I continue to carry within myself.

And I can choose to release it.

The prayer is just four simple phrases.

I’m sorry.
I love you.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.

I repeat these words over and over, sometimes quietly in my mind, sometimes out loud. Sometimes with tears, sometimes with gratitude, sometimes with love, and sometimes when I am still feeling deeply hurt.

I continue until I begin to feel something shift within me. A little more softness. A little more space. A little more ease.

And when I find it difficult to imagine saying these words directly to someone who has hurt me, I imagine speaking them to their soul.

Because underneath all our human experiences, our conditioning, our fears, our reactions and the ways we have learned to protect ourselves, I believe there is a soul having its own incredibly complex human experience.

And I often think about that soul.

I think about the day when our human journey comes to an end, and we reflect upon the life we have lived. The people we have loved, the people we have hurt, the things we understood and the things we never quite found the awareness to see.

And I like to believe that by choosing forgiveness now, I am offering both our souls a little more peace. That perhaps, when that moment of reflection comes, there is one less painful thread to carry between us.

That I have already chosen to forgive them.

And just as importantly, I have chosen to forgive myself.

For what I didn’t understand at the time. For the ways I reacted when I was hurting. For the expectations I held. For the things I wish I had said differently. For all the moments when I was simply doing the best I could with the awareness I had.

I have experienced some truly profound changes in relationships through this practice, including relationships I never imagined would find their way back to a place of peace.

And sometimes the greatest change has been within me.

The more I work with people, the more I see how much pain we carry. How quickly we can judge someone’s behaviour without ever understanding the experiences that shaped it. How easily we misunderstand one another through the lens of our own wounds.

And how desperately so many people simply want to be seen, heard, understood and loved.

We are all learning. We are all carrying experiences that others know nothing about. We are all going to make mistakes, misunderstand people, react from pain and have moments when we could have chosen differently.

Being human is hard. Really hard sometimes.

And I find myself wishing that we could all be just a little more gentle. With each other, yes, but especially with ourselves.

Because imagine how much lighter our lives might become if we stopped waiting for someone else to give us permission to heal.

If we could release the need to be right, the need to be understood, the need for an apology, and simply choose peace within ourselves.

Not because what happened was okay, but because we deserve to experience life without continually carrying the pain of it.

Four little phrases.

I’m sorry. I love you. Please forgive me. Thank you.

And sometimes, for me, they have changed everything.

🍃 The Human Condition

We are all looking at the same world through different eyes, carrying different stories, wounds, beliefs and experiences. Perhaps humanity would find more peace if we spent less time convincing others to see what we see, and more time understanding why they see things differently. Because true compassion begins when we look beyond someone’s words or actions and become curious about the experiences, emotions and unseen pain that may have shaped them.

🍃 SUNDAY’S DISTANT GROUP HEALING — 27 SEPTEMBER 🍃

A little follow-up for everyone who joined me for Sunday’s collective distant healing 🤍

I think there were around 25 beautiful souls who said hello and gave permission to be included, and I’ve since had quite a few people reach out to tell me what they experienced. Some felt the healing very strongly while it was happening, while others noticed things shifting later that evening or into the following day.

I also wanted to explain something important for those who perhaps didn’t consciously feel anything at the time.

You don’t need to be lying down, meditating or even consciously aware of the healing for your energy to respond. I actually had a client come in today who was part of Sunday’s healing. She is normally very aware of energy and what she experiences during healing, but she happened to be busy when I did the collective session and wasn’t consciously tuned into it.

That doesn’t mean nothing was happening.

The integration after energetic work can continue for around three to five days, and sometimes what you notice afterwards is actually more significant than what you feel during the healing itself.

I had quite a few people reach out yesterday saying they felt unusually tired or low in energy, or that old emotions and feelings had unexpectedly come to the surface. Within the way I work energetically, I see this as a very normal part of integration. Sometimes when we create space for something to shift, the things we have been holding can become more noticeable before they settle.

So if you were part of Sunday’s healing, be gentle with yourself over the next few days. Rest when you need to, drink plenty of water, spend some time outside, ground yourself and allow whatever comes up to move through rather than feeling that you need to understand or analyse all of it.

And for the next collective healing, I’ll make sure I give everyone a specific time beforehand. I think that will make it even more beautiful for those who would like to intentionally stop, get comfortable and consciously connect with the energy as it comes through.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me enough to be part of it. It was such a beautiful energy to hold collectively.

Wow. I’ve just finished and I’m still vibrating — even my voice is shaking.

The frequency felt incredibly high. I connected with all of you. I could see you, I could feel you, and I acknowledged each of you — your bodies, your energy, your presence.

It was honestly so beautiful that I didn’t want to come out of it. 🤍

I would absolutely love to know what you experienced, if anything. What did you notice? 🪷

Hello 🤍

Comment HELLO if you’d like to be included in a collective distant energy healing later today. 🤍

That’s it. Just say HELLO 👋

Later today, I’m going to connect in and send a little burst of healing energy to everyone who says hello. Nothing you need to do, just receive.

🍃 “But Nadine! What Do You Actually Do?”
☕ Long personal post… time to grab a cuppa. 🤍

✨Yesterday a client said to me, “I’m trying to explain to my friends and family what you do, but I can’t quite pinpoint it.”

I laughed because, honestly, after six years of Quest to Heal, I still find it difficult to explain it myself.

In my old career it was easy. I could say, “I’m a police officer,” and people immediately understood. There was a recognised role and framework around it.

What I do now is completely different because there isn’t one title that really explains it.

I think so much of what I now understand has come from having to find my way through life myself. My own healing journey started years before Quest to Heal was even a spark in my mind. I have experienced pain and joy, trauma and healing, fear and courage, grief and love, betrayal and trust, loss and new beginnings, isolation and deep connection. I have known what it feels like to be completely lost within myself, and I have also experienced what it feels like to slowly find my way back.

There have been times when I genuinely didn’t understand what was happening within me, and other times when something finally made sense and completely changed the way I saw myself, another person or an experience I had lived through.

For a long time I looked outside myself for answers and blame, but looking back now, I don’t think that was because it was easier. It was what I knew. So much of how we understand ourselves and the world begins with what we experience and learn as children, long before we are old enough to question whether any of it is actually true.

I didn’t have the awareness then that I have now, and I don’t believe that means I created everything that happened to me or that experiencing pain makes somebody a victim. Sometimes things happen to us. Sometimes other people’s wounds affect us. Sometimes we take on beliefs, fears, behaviours and patterns before we are even conscious enough to realise we are carrying them.

What changed my life was becoming conscious of them.

Knowledge is power.

Once I could see something, understand where it came from and recognise how it was affecting me, I had choices I didn’t have when I couldn’t see it.

And I think that is one of the greatest things I now bring into my work, because so many of the people who come to me are struggling with the same human things I have struggled with in different forms. I understand fear, hurt, grief, betrayal, confusion, pain, feeling unseen and not understanding why we feel or respond the way we do. I can have compassion for the person sitting in front of me because I know what it feels like to be inside something and not yet understand what is happening.

But my work also goes beyond the human story.

When I connect with somebody, I don’t just see the person sitting in front of me or everything they have been through and carried throughout their life. I connect deeper than that. I connect with their soul.

I may feel things physically in my own body, experience emotions, receive words or a sudden knowing, see symbols, animals or vivid visions, communicate with Spirit or experience something that, within my spiritual understanding, connects to ancestors, other lifetimes, energetic relationships or contracts, earthbound spirits, angelic or elemental energies, or galactic and star family connections.

I don’t decide beforehand what somebody needs to heal or where their session should go. I connect and follow what presents. Sometimes what comes forward makes sense immediately. Sometimes its meaning unfolds as we work with it. Sometimes the person I am working with begins seeing and experiencing their own spiritual imagery alongside me, completely awake and in control, and I guide them through what they are experiencing.

For me, there is also something incredibly important underneath all of this.

Soul recognition.

For much of my life, what people saw on the outside wasn’t necessarily what was happening within me. I remember being incredibly sick with Crohn’s disease and people saying, “But you look so healthy,” when inside I felt like my body was falling apart. And I think we can experience that disconnect in so many ways. People see the outside without necessarily knowing what somebody is carrying underneath.

Perhaps that is why being truly seen has become such an important part of my work.

I don’t believe that your fear, anger, trauma, mistakes, conditioning, self criticism or the things you have been through are the entirety of who you are. They may be layers of your human experience, but underneath them there is still you.

My own healing became a process of sifting through those layers. Everything I had been told I was, everything I had learnt to believe about myself, old wounds, fear, conditioning, other people’s perceptions and things I had carried for so long that I no longer knew where they ended and I began.

Slowly, I learnt to recognise what felt like me and what felt like heaviness I had picked up, learnt, inherited or carried along the way.

Eventually, underneath all of it, I found Nadine. I found my way back to self.

That doesn’t mean old patterns or layers never surface again. They do. The difference now is that I can recognise them sooner. I can feel when something doesn’t sit right within me and ask, “Does this actually feel like me?” I can look at it, understand it and work through another layer without making that layer the whole of who I am.

And somewhere along the way, I realised that everything I had learnt while finding Nadine was helping me hold space for other people to begin finding themselves too.

But there is another part of what I do that I don’t believe I learnt at all.

It was already within me.

The sensitivity I had as a little girl. The things I could feel before I had words for them. The spiritual connection. The way I receive through feeling, knowing, visions, symbols, my body and Spirit. The ability to connect deeply with another person and, as I understand it, with their energy and their soul.

I believe that part is my gift.

My life didn’t teach me how to have it. My life taught me how to understand it, trust it, develop it and stop being afraid of it.

And now I get to bring both parts together. Everything life has taught me and everything I believe was already within me.

That is what I bring into the healing room with you.

When you sit in front of me, I don’t just listen to what you tell me is wrong. I connect with you. I look underneath what is happening on the surface and follow what I see, feel, sense and receive. I help you explore where something may have come from, what you may be carrying, what your soul may be trying to show you and what may finally be ready to be understood, acknowledged or released.

I don’t believe my job is to give you all the answers.

I want to help you understand yourself deeply enough that you begin finding your own.

To hold a space where you feel safe enough to be seen. To share what I see, feel, sense and receive. To help bring awareness and understanding to what you may be carrying and perhaps help you begin recognising who you truly are underneath all of it.

That is my gift to you.

So maybe that is the simplest way I can finally explain what I do.

I help people see themselves. Human, energetic, spiritual and soul. I help bring awareness to what may be sitting underneath what they are experiencing, give them knowledge and understanding around what they may be carrying, and help them begin finding their own way back to self.

Because underneath everything you have experienced, everything you have been told you are and everything you have learnt to carry…

there is still you.
