On the last day of the Special Olympics Australia National Games 2026, Surgical House's very own BDM, Jade joined athletes back stage as they refuelled and got ready for today’s closing ceremony. We love the energy in the room!

🏊‍♀️🥇Congratulations to every athlete who took part, and a huge thank you to the volunteers, families and community who made these Games so special. What a way to celebrate 50 years of Special Olympics Australia!

Thank you, Asbestos Diseases Society of Australia! 💙

Earlier this week our team had the pleasure of running a community training session at the (ADSA), focused on nutritional supplements and the role they can play in supporting health and wellbeing.

It was a relaxed, practical session with plenty of great questions and conversation from attendees, who shared their experiences and explored how nutrition support might fit into their everyday lives. 🥤🍎

The Equestrian events are in full swing at the Special Olympics Australia National Games 2026! 🏅🐎

Our BDM Jade has been loving every minute of her volunteering this week, and the energy around the arena has been incredible.

A huge congratulations to all the equestrian athletes, who have shown amazing skill, courage and sportsmanship in the saddle. 👏 A special shout-out to the Western Australian Equestrian Team, who have brought home an impressive haul of medals. As a Perth-born business, we couldn’t be prouder! 💛🖤

None of this would be possible without the wonderful volunteers who give their time to make the Games happen. It’s been a joy to see the whole community come together to celebrate and support every athlete.

Proud to support the Special Olympics Australia National Games 2026! 🏅

Our very own Jade, BDM for VIC & TAS, picked up her official volunteer shirt yesterday ahead of Monday’s opening ceremony in Melbourne, and she couldn’t be more excited.

During her visit, the team gave Jade a behind-the-scenes tour of operations, including a look at the 26,000 lunch packs being prepared for athletes. That’s no small task, with 18 different dietary requirements to cater for so every athlete can perform at their best. 🥪

This year marks 50 years of Special Olympics Australia, with more than 850 athletes from across the country and 1,000 volunteers coming together to make the Games happen. Jade will be working alongside the opening and closing ceremony teams, and, ever the cowgirl at heart, she’ll be right at home as a results runner at the Equestrian events. 🏇🐎🏇

What a day on the Central Coast! ☀️

Last Saturday our NSW Business Development Manager, Cass, headed up to San Remo for the Central Coast Ability Day (formerly Breakaway Disability Expo), and what a celebration of community it was! 🎉

The day had something for everyone:
🎶 Live music and performances (and some serious moves on the dance floor!)
🛍️ Market stalls from local makers, plus great food and drink
🎨 Creative and sensory activities for all ages and abilities
🤝 Local service providers and support groups, including our friends at Your Ability

Add in families, farm animals and more than a few puppies in prams 🐶, and you’ve got a pretty perfect Saturday.

Days like this are what it’s all about: getting out into the community, meeting people face to face and hearing what matters to them. We’re here to help make your NDIS journey easier, Australia-wide. 💙
