Crazy how quickly life changes, isn’t it?

When was the last time you actually paused long enough to appreciate the moment you’re in?

We’re so often caught up in the pace of life, thinking about what’s next, that it’s super easy to forget to be fully present for what’s happening right now.

And sometimes it takes looking back to realise just how special those ordinary moments were (are!).

This is your loving reminder to create more conscious moments of awareness throughout your day.

Notice when you’re on autopilot. Slow down. Engage with what’s around you. Be present for the life that’s happening right in front of you.

Because one day, these ordinary moments will be the ones we wish we could revisit.

Can you all hurry up and find me already? I’m a kinesiologist, not a content creator. 😂

9 years of clinical practice, thousands of women and I literally made a whole program for you.

DM EMBODY if you want the details.

Anyway, see you in clinic. 💋

You can understand your triggers, recognise your patterns and have all the tools in the world.

But what happens when life actually tests you?

When plans change, someone pushes your buttons or things don’t go the way you expected?

That’s where the real work is.

Not in trying to stay calm or control every reaction, but in building the capacity to experience discomfort without it taking over.

Because knowing why you react is one thing.

Having the capacity to respond differently is another.

And that’s exactly what we work towards inside The EMBODY Method.

A little reintroduction for the new faces around here!

I’m Emma. Kinesiologist, Mind- Body Medicine practitioner, mum, business owner and a woman with approximately 700 interests and not enough hours in the day.

I’m endlessly curious about humans. Why we think the way we do, why we feel what we feel, the patterns we carry and all the weird and wonderful things that make us who we are.

Give me a deep conversation about the nervous system, energy, spirituality, human behaviour or something completely left field, and I’m in my element.

I love a good laugh, questioning the conventional, learning something new and disappearing down a rabbit hole. Curiosity will never kill this cat.

My work is a huge part of who I am, but it’s certainly not all of me.

I’m also navigating motherhood, relationships, running a business, learning, unlearning and occasionally wondering what on earth I’m doing.

Because at the end of the day, I’m just another soul having a human experience, figuring it out as I go.

If you’re new here, welcome! And if you’ve been around for a while, thank you for being part of this little corner of the internet.

Now I’m curious, what brought you here?🫶

What you say is one thing. What your body might be telling us is another.

Anxiety. Overwhelm. Irritability. Jaw tension.

These experiences might seem unrelated, but there’s often more to explore beneath the surface.

When you come in for kinesiology, I’m not just listening to your symptoms.

I’m curious about your nervous system, neurological responses, emotional patterns and the connections you may not have considered.

Because two people can experience the same symptom for very different reasons.

And the goal isn’t to make assumptions about what’s wrong.

It’s to understand your individual patterns and support your body in responding differently.

That’s the difference between knowing what’s happening and creating change you can actually feel.

Ready to explore your own patterns?

The annoying thing about this one is… it works.

You make the plan. Get the answer. Check the thing. Take over. Make sure everyone’s okay.

And ahhhh. Relief.

Which is exactly why your brain goes, “Great. Let’s do that again next time.”

The problem isn’t being organised or liking a plan. I bloody love a plan.

It’s when you can’t properly settle until everything feels sorted.

Because life is never going to be completely sorted.

There will always be an unanswered text, a change of plans, someone doing something differently to how you would’ve done it, or something you simply can’t control.

Being able to stay okay in THAT space?

That’s the work.

And it gives you a hell of a lot more freedom to actually be where you are, instead of constantly trying to get ahead of what might happen next.

Anyone else firmly in the “fine, I’ll just do it myself” camp?

THIS is what I mean when I talk about building capacity.

It’s not just deep breathing, affirmations or telling yourself to calm down.

Your brain is constantly taking in sensory information through your eyes, balance system, movement, touch and other pathways.

And when I assess these in clinic, I’m looking at how your nervous system responds to that input.

Because this can show up in real life as feeling overwhelmed when the kids are all talking at once, snapping when there’s too much noise, feeling thrown by a change of plans, struggling to switch off or feeling like one more thing might tip you over the edge.

You can consciously know you’re safe and still have a body that reacts incredibly quickly.

That’s why inside THE EMBODY Method we don’t only work with what you think.

We work with the body, sensory input and nervous system too.

Because building capacity isn’t about becoming calm all the time.

It’s about having more room for life before everything starts to feel like too much.

DM EMBODY if you want to know more.

You can understand exactly why you react the way you do… and still find yourself having the same reaction.

Because insight is important, but your nervous system also needs the opportunity to experience something different.

To feel the trigger without being completely taken over by it.

To notice the reaction without automatically following it.

To come back to yourself a little faster.

That’s the work of building nervous system capacity.

It’s not about never getting triggered. It’s about building the capacity to feel what comes up, without getting completely taken over by it.

If you’ve done a lot of the “understanding” but your body still seems to react before your brain can catch up, I’ve got a simple 2-Minute Reset you can use when you notice yourself becoming activated or overwhelmed.

Comment RESET and I’ll send it to you.🫶
