This was such an awesome little tattoo.
Lego Darth Vader.
Doesn’t get a better combo than that!
This goes to show that even the smallest of tattoos can be full of detail and colour.
Really fun project to work on.

PROGRESSION POST
Normally I tend not to post many progression videos but given the level of difficulty (this is a coverup after all…) and the subject matter of what we are doing here, I mean it’s the FREAKIN’ TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES! I’m just super excited to show it off.
I’m a massive fan of the turtles from waaay back in the early nineties, from the cartoons ,all the way thru the live action movies, comic books, toys, etc til nowadays even.
The bottom half was done a couple of sessions ago and it’s fully healed. The Beebop is fresh and still got one more session before I can say it’s done.
Obviously you can’t have a Beebop without a Rocksteady, and he’ll be done a bit later.
Hope you like as much as me and if you’re in Perth and you’re as keen on TMNT or any other pop culture stuff from the 80’s,90’s and early 00’s come and see me at the studio.

Some of the most meaningful tattoos have a story behind them.

This one was a tribute to my client’s dad, who had a bit of a tradition of drinking Feel Good chocolate milk.

We turned something so simple, but so personal, into a full-colour, realistic tattoo of an opened chocolate milk carton, with his dad’s birth and passing dates worked into the design.

A small everyday thing that carries a lifetime of memories. That’s what makes tattoos like this so special.

The photo was taken straight after the session, so there’s still a bit of redness around the tattoo, but I couldn’t wait to share this one.

Been a while since I’ve done one these…
Slightly out of practice so it seemed to take forever to complete.
This particular scene from the movie Ted has been sitting on my tattoo Wishlist for a long time and since I haven’t gotten to tattoo it (just yet) I did the next best thing and I got to paint it.
Let me know if this sort of content is your jam and I reckon I will keen to keep doing these ballpoint drawings more often.

Almost 2 years between the first part of this piece and the latest addition, and it’s finally coming together!

This underwater scene has been such a fun project to work on — packed with reef, colourful fish, stingrays and turtles, flowing up into the sea-level section with a big barreling wave.

The latest addition was this jellyfish filling a little gap on the back of the arm, tying everything together with a heap of colour.

Massive thanks to Allana for the continuous support and for always bringing me projects that I genuinely love tattooing. This is exactly the kind of custom colour tattoo work I want to be doing more of.

Pizza, party hats and a raccoon… honestly, what more do you need? 😂
Get ready to meet Pepé the party raccoon!

A little gap filler with a bit of everything thrown into it — a realistic colour raccoon portrait smashing a slice of pizza, with the pizza and party hat designed as sticker-style tattoos. Finished off with a fat-cap graffiti spray-paint background to tie the whole thing together.

I love doing tattoos like this where different styles can work together in the same piece. Realism, colour, new school, sticker work and graffiti elements all packed into one fun little tattoo.

A little look at the evolution of this tiger back piece

This one is all black and grey and absolutely packed with detail. Every bit of fur was put in individually, so there was a fair few hours gone into this one!

There’s actually a small bit of an old tattoo hiding underneath the top section too — you’d never really know it was a cover-up now, which is always a good result.

Really happy with how this one came together. I’m always keen to take on big tattoos and highly detailed pieces, whether it’s black & grey or colour.
