Yesterday Nurse Lisa and I spent the morning at 🌊Ocean Cosmetics, training with Dr Gina on a new injectable now available in Australia. ✨Stimulates collagen over the whole face in a natural and sustainable way, no increased volume, just lifting and tightening and improved quality of skin 🍑

We covered the science, facial anatomy, patient selection and technique, plus hands-on supervised practice. Thank you to Dr Gina and the Ocean Cosmetics team for a generous, thorough and genuinely fun day.

✨We-I-had microneedling 24 hours ago with exosome treatment-and there is just no other way to put it-the results are insane. My skin literally feels years younger-the glow ⭐️ is insane. I can’t believe this is my first session since we opened the clinic. I am going to get it done as often as I can now. Totally natural treatment, harnessing our own body’s capacity to heal-🤩amazing.

Have you ever wondered what a Halo 😇 Graft is?

Halo Grafts – An Innovative Approach to Skin Cancer Reconstruction

The halo graft technique evolved from established skin grafting and wound-healing principles as an alternative approach to reconstructing surgical defects, particularly on the lower legs, where skin can be thin, tight and slower to heal. It was first described by Dr Sharad Paul in 2010.

It involves placing small pieces of the patient’s own skin from around the edge of a surgical wound, creating a “halo” of grafts that encourages skin growth and healing.

Wound healing generally takes around 4–8 weeks, although this varies depending on wound size, location, circulation and individual health factors.

Scar maturation and cosmetic improvement can continue for several months.

Halo grafting is one of several reconstructive options, with suitability assessed individually. Our doctors are experienced in performing all types of surgical closures.
