WHAT DOES A SUPPORT COORDINATOR ACTUALLY DO?!

Spoiler alert - It's a whole lot more than finding therapists!

From understanding your NDIS plan and connecting with providers to navigating reassessments, plan variations, changes in circumstances and gathering evidence.

We're here to help make the complicated stuff feel a little less overwhelming.

At Alee, we believe great Support Coordination starts with genuine relationships, understanding your family's needs and making sure you feel supported along the way.

Real people. Genuine care. Families first, always

Save this one for later or share it with someone who's wondering what Support Coordination is all about!

Before anything else, we’re Mum & Dad 🥰
Our two kiddos are at the centre of everything we do and so many of the decisions we make.

Our family journey has taken us through diagnoses, epilepsy, therapies, school struggles, burnout, advocacy and a whole lot of learning (and unlearning) along the way.

It’s changed how we live, what we value and how fiercely we believe in community, connection and creating a life that actually works for the humans living it.

We’re still learning every damn day.

But this is us. Our family. Our biggest why. Our story 💚

MEET SAM 💚

I'm Sam, the other new Director of Alee and as Paige mentioned, I'm her other half (better half! 😉)

I'm husband to Paige and dad to Lacey and Oak. I am ADHD and Autistic with a PDA profile. I am great with numbers, which comes in handy as I'll be managing much of the behind the scenes admin at Alee, including accounting.

My path here hasn't been a straight line. I've worked in sales, as a support worker (specialising in complex health and behavioral support needs), and as a site manager for my family's asphalting business. Each role taught me a lot about people, patience, and problem-solving, and I'm excited to bring those experiences to Alee.

A few fun facts about me, Im a high energy type of guy, Paige calls me her third child because I'm always bouncing off the walls and driving her and the kids nuts. I love singing along to all types of music in the car (much to my family's embarrassment), I love my tattoos, am an ice coffee addict and as a family, we love traveling. This year, we've been exploring Australia in our caravan, though my favourite destination is definitely Bali. It's such a special place.

In short Im an energetic, numbers nerd, car-singing enthusiast, and very happy to be here.

Now, I'd love to hear more about you!

Thanks legends 🤙

MEET PAIGE 💚

Okay, you know I’m one of the new owners of Alee but here's a little more about me...

I’m Paige, mum to Lacey & Oak, wife to Sam, ADHD + recently diagnosed autistic, dyslexic af, chronic oversharer, big feelings human and I unapologetically swear like a sailor 😂
I care DEEPLY about people, inclusion and making sure support needs families feel part of a community. I’m passionate about creating spaces where you don’t have to pretend you’ve got your s**t together to belong 🥰

I’ve worked in the disability sector for 15 years, but raising two neurodivergent kids made advocacy so much more than a job for me.
My own diagnoses have also taken me on a huge self-discovery journey. Lots of unlearning, finally understanding myself on a whole new level, and a growing passion for supporting other parents discovering their own neurodivergence along the way.
The random stuff? I love chocolate, spicy books, yoga and deep vulnerable conversations but I HATE coffee - weird I know.
We’re originally from SA, but we’ve spent this year travelling Australia in a caravan. Our travels finish in November 😭 and in January we’re moving to beautiful sunny QLD.
I’m passionate, ridiculously determined, very much a “there HAS to be a way” person and will choose being human over being corporate every damn time.

So yep… that’s me.

Neurospicy. Slightly chaotic. Swears like a sailor. Cares a LOT. And so excited to be here 💚🥰

Now tell me something random about YOU 👇

OUR BIG SECRET IS FINALLY OUT!!! 🥹

A NEW CHAPTER FOR ALEE 💚

After months of working quietly behind the scenes, we're SO excited to announce that we are officially the new owners and Directors of Alee Disability Support Services

For those who don't know us yet, we're Paige and Sam Carter. We're a neurodivergent husband and wife team, raising two incredible neurodivergent kids, and now BUSINESS PARTNERS! Between us, we bring 15 years of experience working in the disability sector, alongside a whole lot of lived experience, passion and some pretty big dreams.

We've spent the past nine months travelling Australia and it's been life changing for our family. We've had the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and really reflect on the life we want to create and the impact we want to have.
And somehow, that journey has led us HERE!🥹🥰

For those who've followed 👋 Paige - Support Needs Parent Educator over the years, you'll know that community, connection and education have always been at the heart of everything I do. Those values aren't going anywhere. In fact, they're a huge part of what we're bringing into this next chapter together.

We're incredibly grateful to Hayley for everything she's built at Alee and for trusting us to continue its journey. We're also so excited to work alongside the amazing team already doing incredible things and to get to know the families at the heart of Alee 💚

Our vision is simple. Keep what our incredible Hayley built alive. Somewhere where our families feel heard, supported and empowered, where our team feels genuinely valued, and continuing to build a community that makes a real difference.
We've got so many ideas, so much to learn and we genuinely cannot wait to share this journey with you all!
Here's to big dreams, new beginnings and the next chapter of Alee!

Paige & Sam xx
