October 11-17 is national carers week - we believe it is incredibly imperative to recognise, and celebrate the carers who make such a significant contribution to the care of their loved ones 💜

Caring for someone you love can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. Always remember:
🌸 It's okay to take a break.
💜 It's okay to ask for help.
🌿 It's okay to prioritise your wellbeing - you can’t pour from an empty cup.

To all the valuable carers in our community — we see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you.

Happy Monday, from the team at Gem Care Services.

When we look at a participants NDIS plan, we believe participants should be at the center of decisions about their own lives - The supports you access, should relate to your individual needs, aspirations, and circumstances.

Whether your goals involve becoming more independent, getting involved in your community or developing some new skills, it's important these supports are delivered centered around you!

If you are looking for a new support provider, please reach out to our team for a no-obligation chat.

Today we acknowledge world cerebral palsy day 💚

Cerebral Palsy can impact each individual in many different ways, whether it be through movement, coordination, or communication. No matter how it affects a person, it does not define who they are.

October is mental health awareness month, a gentle and timely reminder that our mental health is just as important as our physical health.

At times, the strongest thing we can do is acknowledge that we’re struggling, and allow someone else to support us.

It’s okay to ask for help.
