Since 2019, I’ve dedicated six days a week to the shop, investing my time, energy and passion in my craft, my clients and my growth as an artist.
Over the past month, I’ve needed to step back from some of my usual responsibilities following an incredibly difficult period for my family. My partner and I have experienced two devastating losses within a matter of weeks, alongside other deeply challenging circumstances that have made this an especially painful time for everyone involved.
Some experiences are deeply personal, and out of respect for our family and the people we’ve lost, I won’t be sharing further details. We’re a small family, and navigating so much in such a short space of time has been difficult in ways that are hard to put into words. I’m grateful for the understanding, compassion and privacy shown to us during this time.
I’ve put an enormous amount of myself into my work, and that commitment remains unchanged. However, sometimes life requires us to step back, prioritise the people closest to us and allow ourselves the time and space to process what has happened.
Although this has been an incredibly difficult time, it has also given me an opportunity to reflect, grow as a person and continue developing my art. I’m looking forward to returning to the shop over the next week or so with a renewed perspective, a clear focus and a deeper appreciation for the work I do.
Thank you to everyone who has been patient, understanding and respectful while I’ve taken this time. I look forward to returning to the shop, reconnecting with my clients and continuing to dedicate myself to my craft.
