Snacking isn’t the problem!
Getting ravenous is. High protein snacks carefully placed can keep your blood glucose on track.

Going too long between meals can leave blood glucose dipping, energy crashing and hunger hormones shouting! Making that 4pm moment much harder to manage.

A well-timed snack can help keep energy and appetite steadier.

Think protein + fibre + healthy fat:
Greek yoghurt + berries
Apple + nut butter
Boiled egg + wholegrain crackers
Hummus + veggie sticks
A small handful of nuts + fruit

Any if you’re one of my pregnant ladies or 2am night waker’s this is really important. A little prebed evening snack can anchor you for better sleep!

Love R xx
Ps did you notice the quantities in the picture…snacks aren’t big!

Express Cupping - MONDAY ONLY 3-6pm

A little reset for your body.

Our 30 minute Express Cupping sessions offer a simple, focused way to release built up tension, encourage circulation and support your body to recover.

Using gentle, targeted cupping, with massage where helpful, we work into areas that can hold a little too much of the day: tired shoulders, a tight neck, overworked muscles or a body that simply feels heavy and ready to let go.

And because we believe recovery is about nourishing the whole body, you’ll also receive a complimentary tea to replenish and support you after your treatment.

Express Cupping is lovely for:

• Tension through the neck and shoulders
• Bodies that have been sitting, working or training hard
• Supporting recovery after exercise
• That feeling of being a little stuck, tight or heavy
• Anyone wanting to experience the benefits of cupping in a short, focused treatment

Available for a limited time only! Can’t wait to see you. R x

So much talk about TESTOSTERONE…here are my 2 cents!

Lots of integrative GPs have been prescribing it as MHT with HSDD (low libido) for years so it’s nothing new, but the chat is around enhancing memory, muscle mass, sleep and energy…in a perimenopause audience.

There are some considerations ie the stage of perimenopause, metabolic markers etc.

There are lots of ways to optimise testosterone levels when using testosterone replacement or bumping up your natural levels. It’s all a matter of timing!

lets chat!

Rye: a little love for your gut microbes

We often talk about what we eat, but gut health is also about what we feed the trillions of microbes living within us.

Rye is a wonderful wholegrain for this reason. It contains fermentable fibres and resistant starch that our digestive enzymes do not fully break down. Instead, they reach the colon, where our microbes can put them to work.

Here are 5 reasons we love rye for the microbiome:

1. It feeds fibre loving microbes

Rye is rich in arabinoxylans and fructans, fermentable fibres that gut bacteria can metabolise.

2. It supports Bifidobacteria

Rye’s fructans provide food for beneficial bacteria, including Bifidobacterium, helping them thrive.

3. It encourages short chain fatty acids

When gut bacteria ferment rye’s fibres, they produce short chain fatty acids, including acetate, propionate and butyrate. These compounds help communicate between the microbiome and gut lining.

4. It brings resistant starch to the party

Some of rye’s starch reaches the colon undigested, where microbes can ferment it. Resistant starch is particularly associated with butyrate producing bacteria.

5. It supports microbial diversity

Different fibres feed different microbes. Rye offers a mix of fermentable carbohydrates, helping support the diverse, resilient gut ecosystem we need.

So perhaps we can think of rye not simply as a grain, but as food for our inner garden.

Try wholegrain rye sourdough or rye crispbread alongside nourishing fats, protein and plenty of colourful plants.

Because sometimes, supporting gut health starts with simply feeding the microbes you’ve already got.
