🩺 Coming to Sydney this October

NSW Stoma’s Stomal Therapy Education Day is on Friday 16 October 2026 at Club York Sydney.

It is a chance to hear from Stomal Therapy Nurses, learn more about the Stoma Appliance Scheme, see product updates and connect with other ostomates, carers and healthcare professionals.

🩺 Sydney Stomal Therapy Education Day is coming up this October

Join NSW Stoma for a day of practical information, support and conversation with Stomal Therapy Nurses, fellow ostomates and industry representatives.

The day will include updates on the Stoma Appliance Scheme, talks from health professionals, personal perspectives from ostomates, product information, plenty of time for questions and a light lunch.

📅 Friday 16 October 2026
🕤 9.30 am to approximately 3.30 pm
📍 Club York Sydney, 95 to 99 York Street, Sydney
🍽️ Light lunch provided

The event is open to people with a colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy or external pouch procedure, as well as family, friends, carers and healthcare professionals.

🎓 Are you a registered nurse in NSW considering Stomal Therapy Nursing? You may be eligible for up to $7,500 towards your study costs.

The NSW Stoma Ltd Penn Foundation Stomal Therapy Nurse Scholarship assists nurses undertaking further study to qualify as Stomal Therapy Nurses.

The scholarship aims to encourage more nurses to train in stomal therapy and help strengthen specialist care for ostomates across NSW. NSW Stoma has also highlighted the shortage of stomal therapy nurses, particularly in regional areas.

Eligible applicants must be registered nurses living and practising in NSW and enrolled in the College of Nursing Graduate Certificate in Stomal Therapy Nursing.
