Think sleep apnoea only affects men who snore loudly? Think again!
Our pharmacist D**g Ho is sharing TWO important facts about obstructive sleep apnoea that you might not know.
FACT 1: Sleep apnoea doesn't just affect men.
In women, symptoms can sometimes be less obvious. Rather than the classic picture of loud snoring, women may experience persistent fatigue, morning headaches, brain fog, poor concentration, mood changes or difficulty sleeping.
FACT 2: You don't have to snore to have sleep apnoea.
While snoring is a common symptom, not everyone with sleep apnoea snores. And it doesn't just affect people who fit the typical picture — it can occur across different ages and body types.
If you're waking up exhausted despite a full night's sleep, it may be worth looking a little closer.
