Since 1998, Wishlist with the help of a generous and committed community has raised and directed more than $20 million towards the Sunshine Coast's local health system. Wishlist is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fundraising for the needs of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Annually we pledge over $1 million towards research projects, medical equipment, support projects, staff scholarships and education funding. Wishlist is committed to improving local public health services, and one way we do this is through our "wish list" which helps us find donors to fund the equipment needs on the list. All money raised stays on the Sunshine Coast for the benefit of local families.

💙 This Friday, we want to take a moment to say thank you to the incredible people who make our work possible - YOU, our Wishlist supporters.

Thanks to your generosity, the $70,800 needed to enhance care for women experiencing early pregnancy complications at Gympie Hospital has been funded.

Your donations will provide a specialised gynaecological examination chair and dedicated ultrasound with a transvaginal probe, helping women access timely, specialised care closer to home during what can be an uncertain and emotional time.

Every contribution helps make a difference, and this is a wonderful example of what we can achieve together.

Thank you for being part of our Wishlist community and helping bring better healthcare closer to home for women and families in Gympie.

The Southern Cross Sheds Diamond Lunch is coming up on Friday 13 November, and it’s a great excuse to get your team together and celebrate the year in style, all while supporting Wishlist and better healthcare close to home for our Sunshine Coast community.

Wishlist is looking for friendly volunteer drivers to help transport patients from Wishlist Reed House Accommodation, next to Nambour General Hospital, to Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Adem Crosby Centre and back again.

💛 This Friday, we’re feeling thankful for the generosity that helps bring better healthcare close to home.

After suffering a stroke, Matt Alexander lost feeling on the left side of his body and faced significant challenges with his mobility. Thanks to a one-armed wheelchair funded by the Buderim Foundation, Matt was able to move around independently, giving him back a little more freedom. Designed for people who can only use one side of their body, the wheelchair allowed Matt to move freely and safely without assistance.

It’s a powerful reminder that the right equipment can make a life-changing difference, helping people regain independence and confidence when they need it most.

A huge thank you to the Buderim Foundation for making this possible, and to everyone who supports Wishlist and helps make better healthcare a reality for our local community. 💛

💛 From being there since the very beginning, to special guest stars, bidding dramas and special family memories - there’s certainly no shortage of stories from 17 years of Wishlist Spring Carnival!
