Thank you Ed Husic, for recognising Dr Michael Malek’s huge achievement! We’re incredibly honoured to serve the Mount Druitt community, and beyond!

This is only the beginning as we continue to ramp up our GP Trainee program, bringing in even more accessible healthcare and high quality doctors to our practice, with some of the best young doctors who will be training under Dr Michael Malek, and Dr Dylan Amali, our GP Trainee Supervisor and also a nominee for RACGP’s 2026-2027 GP Supervisor of the Year (NSW & ACT) award! 💙

Western Sydney, our very own Dr. Michael Malek is a winner! 🎉🏆

We are bursting with pride to share that Dr. Michael has just been named the 2026 RACGP General Practitioner of the Year for NSW & ACT!

As many of you know, Dr. Michael pours his heart into our community. From leading free flu vax programs and advocating for our diverse, multicultural neighbourhoods, to training up the brightest new doctors, he is always going above and beyond.

The RACGP committee said it best: "Dr. Malek's commitment to his patients, his community and the next generation of GPs makes him a worthy recipient of this award."

We always knew we had the best Principal GP in the country (in our humble opinion), and now the rest of the state knows it too! Help us flood the comments with congratulations for Dr. Michael! 💙👏

To all the incredible dads, granddads, and fur dads out there—Happy Father's Day! 💙

Fatherhood comes in many wonderful forms, and today we’re celebrating some of the amazing people who help keep our clinic running smoothly.

Here are a few familiar faces you may have seen around the practice:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Dr Bao, busy mastering the art of dad jokes and hands-on parenting with two new little ones (who just started walking, yay!).

🐶 Dr Dylan, proudly repping the fur-dad community with top-tier pet dad duties.

👨🏻‍⚕️ Dr Michael, navigating the wonderful world of fatherhood and being our Practice Principal.

We've been so excited to introduce Claudia to our community, and the moment is finally here. Claudia grew up right in Western Sydney, and is an extraordinary doctor. We are so excited to have her join our team! 💙

Nine years of studying later, and she's back—and she's brought an extraordinary toolkit with her specialising in Women's Health, Dermatology, Paediatrics, and Neonatology.

A bit of sadness but a lotta love! 💕

As some of our patients will know by now, but for some of you who may not have heard, Dr Alexandra Davis will be leaving us as she prepares for the next stage of her GP program! 🎓

She’s built such an amazing connection with her patients, and we know her dedication, care, and genuine enthusiasm has already had a huge impact on the practice and the care Covenant has always strived to provide—and we couldn’t be any prouder 🥹

Rest assured, Alex’s care will follow through to our new Registrars starting on Monday, but we know she will be deeply missed by everyone!

Alex, we wish you nothing but the best of luck on your journey, and know you’ll impact so, so many patients in the best way possible. We can’t wait to see you grow in your career and we know you’ll be an exceptional GP in the very near future! 💙
