This one is for you.

If you've been told to exercise but are unsure where to start, our free health assessment call might be your best starting point.

This 15-minute phone call with one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists is designed to learn what has been happening, what you want to improve, and what may be getting in the way.

This isn't a clickbait to direct you to our services.

Believe it or not, we'll tell you if we’re the right fit or someone else.

Important: This is NOT a full clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment session or exercise program. It’s simply a chance to talk things through, ask any questions about how the process works and work out whether we may be able to help.

Yesterday’s Veterans Health, Wellbeing & Services Expo in Penrith was a good reminder that health is about a lot more than just the physical side.

Strength, fitness, mobility and staying active matter.

But so does mental health.

So does having somewhere to go, people to see, a sense of purpose and feeling connected to the people around you.

And that isn’t only relevant as people get older.

For veterans at any stage of life, especially after leaving the structure and routine of service, that social connection and sense of belonging can be a really important part of health.

That was probably one of the biggest things I took away from the day.

Exercise can absolutely be part of the picture, but sometimes the real value is helping someone stay connected, confident and involved in life.

We’re also hoping to do something with the Penrith RSL Sub-Branch around this, so keep an eye out.

I think there’s a really good opportunity to bring the physical, mental and social sides of health together in a practical way.

Did you know, we have a week dedicated for our ankle and foot health?

They might be the least thought-about parts of your body every day but, our ankles and feet deserve the same care and attention as the rest of us. (Seriously, when was the last time you actually paid attention to your soles?)

To help you get started, Amisha recorded three simple foot exercises you can easily try at home. All you need is something to sit on and lean against (and maybe the will to finally put your feet on your priority list?)

Your feet carry you everywhere. Make sure they stay healthy enough to walk you to greater heights.

Did you know kids as young as 12 months old can have arthritis?

This World Arthritis Day, let's take a look at some of the facts about arthritis including how resting too much can do a lot more damage to affected joints than moving it around.

While permanent reversal of damaged or worn-down articular cartilage is not possible, safe and individualised exercise movement plans can reduce pain, slow down joint damage, and preserve mobility.

If you or someone you know requires a professional guidance in managing arthritis through movement plans, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists can help.

When was the last time you did something favorable to yourself?

Even just for a day, do something that will make you feel a little lighter. It doesn't have to be expensive. It doesn't have to be with someone. (Or if it does, why not?)

World Mental Health Day goes beyond telling someone they matter or that things will get better soon. More than being kind to others, don't forget to be kind to yourself too.
