The Urnieta side panel on this Jimny folds down into a table, so your coffee and your keys have somewhere to sit while you stand around the back of the car. With silver paint and black wheels, a quick stop turns into a proper break.

Genuine question for Jimny owners, would you use it more for a brew on the way out or lunch at the end of a track? Have a look at the Jimny range at pvsautomotive.com.au.

The 2.8 litre four arrived in the Australian 70 Series in late 2023, and brought the first automatic the truck has ever had.

This one wears a Urnieta bull bar with driving lights mounted on the uprights, plus a snorkel, a roof rack and black forged wheels.

Gearbox changed. The front end didn't.

The Urnieta tailgate platform folds down off the back door of a 70 Series and gives you a flat bench to cook or work on, so you're not crouched over the ground or the tray, and it bolts to the rear door and swings out with it.

Punched slots down the top take the tie-downs, and it stows flat against the door when you're moving. The back door's now a kitchen, which was never in the brief Toyota wrote for it.

This LC78 Troopy runs the forged wheels wrapped in chunky all-terrains, with a rear ladder up the back and a low side step tucked under the door. The snorkel clears the guard, the bull bar carries the twin driving lights, and nothing about it looks bolted-on.

The Urnieta bull bar on the front of this Vanilla White 76 wagon, uprights wrapping the corners and a winch sitting low behind it, with a snorkel up the pillar and matte black wheels under the guards.

The stance does most of the talking here, but look at how the bar reads with the factory grille and lights, nothing hacked to fit. Kit yours out at pvsautomotive.com.au.

You get a full Urnieta bull bar across the front of this silver LC71, wrapping the corners with the winch sitting low behind it, and the same black theme carries through the side steps and the rear ladder up the back. Matte black bar against silver panels reads clean, nothing cut to make it sit right.

Owen Line's 250 Series Prado runs 35s, King Shocks and a competition winch.

The engine is close to stock and he's keeping the whole build deliberately light, which is the part that should bother anyone who assumes the old 70 still owns the hard tracks. Writing a kind word about a Prado took this page longer than the build did.

The 70 Series has run solid axles front and rear since 1984.

Out of the box, onto the balancer, then bolted straight onto this beige 78 with the forged wheels in matte black.

Same axles underneath, with new corners on the ends.

The Salado front bumper carries the winch and takes the hits up front, while the roof rack and rear-mounted spare free up the little cabin for gear on a white Jimny out in the dunes. Side bars, snorkel, forged wheels, all built for the one platform.

Would you run yours short like this or stretch it out with a trailer? Full kit's at pvsautomotive.com.au if you want a look.
