Reminder ๐ beginners (SPACE)๐ฅ
One of the first things I want young players to understand is that space is not just somewhere you run into.
Itโs something you can create, use, and take away.
When we have the ball, we want to make the pitch big โ spread out, create passing options, and look for the spaces the opponent leaves.
When we lose it, the idea changes. Get closer, stay compact, and make the pitch difficult for the opponent to play through.
And sometimes, your movement away from the ball is what creates the best opportunity for a teammate.
Simple football concept ๐๐ป
With the ball โ create space.
Without the ball โ deny space.
The more players start to see space, not just the ball, the better they begin to understand the game.
