Getting dressed without help. Making the tea just how you like it. Sitting down at the table for Sunday lunch with everyone else.
They might seem like small moments, but they’re everything to the person living them.
It’s World OT Day and this year’s theme is Participation Matters, and it's exactly why we do what we do.
At Momentum OT, participation isn't a checkbox on a report. It's the goal behind every assessment, every home visit, every piece of equipment we recommend. It's helping someone get back into the garden, back to preparing their own meals, back into showering themselves.
Our team of OTs work across NSW to remove the barriers, physical, cognitive, environmental, that get in the way of people doing the things that matter to them. Because independence means nothing if you can't actually take part in your own life.
To our incredible clinicians: thank you for making participation possible, one client at a time.
And to our referral partners: thank you for trusting us with the people you support. We don't take that lightly.
Happy World OT Day.
