📢 Important NDIS Provider Updates

There are several changes and reminders for NDIS providers, including the updated 2026-2027 Pricing Schedule, SIL registration requirements, the new 90-day invoice timeframe starting from 1 December, and the requirement to keep NDIS records for 7 years.

Accurate invoices, correct support item numbers and good record keeping are important to help prevent delays and ensure supports are properly documented.

We’ve put together a simple overview of the key updates for providers.

Important NDIS changes from 1 October 2026 📢

Several NDIS changes are starting from the 1st of October, including changes to some budgets, new requirements around NDIA contact, the phased rollout of Thriving Kids, and new registration requirements for some providers.

Your current NDIS Plan does not automatically change on the 1st of October, so you can continue using your plan and supports as usual.

However please note, some changes will happen gradually as plans are renewed or reassessed.

We’ve put together a simple overview of the key changes to help our participants and families understand what’s happening. Inquire to us via phone or email.

If you’re unsure how any of these changes may affect you, speak with your support coordinator or NDIS contact.

From 1 July 2026, NDIS Short Term Accommodation (STA) is priced differently.

Instead of accommodation and disability-related support being charged as one bundled rate, they are now priced separately.

What can be claimed depends on factors such as the type of accommodation, hours of support, when support is provided and where you live.

If you use STA or are considering it, it’s worth understanding how these changes may apply to your NDIS Plan.

Has something changed in your life or support needs? ❤️

If your circumstances have changed significantly and on an ongoing basis, you may be able to request an NDIS plan reassessment.

Changes could include your functional capacity, living arrangements, work or education, or the support you receive from family and other people. Simply running out of funding isn’t enough on its own, you’ll need to show that your current plan no longer meets your needs.

You’ll also need recent evidence to support your request. If you’re unsure whether a reassessment or plan variation is right for you, speak with your support coordinator, recovery coach or NDIS contact.

Knowing what's claimable through your NDIS plan can help you make informed decisions and avoid paying for items yourself.

Your Consumables budget may cover everyday disability-related items as well as some low-cost assistive technology, provided they meet the NDIS funding criteria.

If you're ever unsure whether something can be claimed, it's always a good idea to check before purchasing or speak with your plan manager or support coordinator.
