🤍 International White Cane Safety Day | 15 October 🤍

Today, we recognise International White Cane Safety Day, raising awareness of the independence, confidence and mobility of people who are blind or have low vision.
The white cane is a powerful symbol of independence, helping people navigate their surroundings and participate in everyday life with greater confidence.
Today is a reminder of the importance of accessibility, understanding and inclusion within our communities.

💚 A few small things can make a big difference:

Keep footpaths and walkways clear.
Never grab or move someone's white cane without permission.
Always ask before offering assistance.
Be patient and respectful, allowing people the space and independence to navigate their surroundings.

Let's continue working towards a world where everyone feels safe, respected and included.

💚 National Carers Week 2026 | 11–17 October 💚

Care for a Carer: Making Carers Visible
Behind so many people in our community is someone who shows up every day with love, patience, strength and compassion.

Carers are parents, partners, children, siblings, friends and family members who often put the needs of others first. Many provide care quietly, balancing countless responsibilities while rarely asking for anything in return.

This National Carers Week, we recognise the incredible contribution of carers and the difference they make in the lives of the people they support.
To every carer — your efforts matter, your role is valued, and you deserve to be supported, too. 💚

Let's take the time to check in, lend a hand, listen without judgement and remind the carers in our lives that they don't have to do everything alone.
Sometimes, the person who spends so much time caring for others needs someone to care for them, too.

💚 Who is a carer in your life that deserves a little extra appreciation this week?

💚 You never know what someone is going through, so always choose kindness. ❤️

Some people are silently fighting battles, grieving someone they love, struggling to ask for help, or simply wishing someone would notice their pain. A little compassion, a listening ear, or a simple “Are you okay?” could mean more than you realize. 🫂

This World Mental Health Day, let’s remind everyone that they are seen, they are valued, and they don’t have to face their struggles alone. 🌿

Be the reason someone feels a little less alone today. 💚

💚 World Mental Health Day – 10 October

Today is a reminder that mental health matters, every single day.
Let’s continue to create a world where everyone feels supported, heard and understood. A simple conversation, a little kindness or taking the time to check in with someone can make a real difference.

At CHG Care, we believe care goes beyond physical support. It’s about connection, compassion and helping people feel valued, included and supported to live life their way.

Remember, you don’t have to face things alone. 💚

Carers make an extraordinary contribution to our communities every day, often balancing caring responsibilities alongside work, study and family life.

You can help recognise carers by downloading and sharing our National Carers Week resources across your social media channels, workplace, website or newsletter. Every share helps raise awareness of the vital role carers play and amplifies their voices.

Together, we can help ensure carers are seen, valued and supported this National Carers Week.

💛 Su***de Prevention Month | Every Conversation Matters

September is Su***de Prevention Month — a time to remind ourselves that reaching out, listening, and showing compassion can make a meaningful difference.

At CHG Care, we believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and valued. You never know what someone may be going through behind the scenes, so a simple “Are you okay?” can be the beginning of an important conversation.

🌱 Listen without judgement.
🤝 Reach out and check in.
💬 Encourage support when it’s needed.
💛 Remind someone they are not alone.

Let’s create communities where talking about mental health is welcomed and asking for help is met with understanding.
You matter. Your life matters. Support is available.
