The neck is one of the first places to show change, and it's usually the last place anyone thinks to look after.

Dr Isha talks through the three things she looks at above.

The bands running down the front of the neck are muscles rather than skin. Laxity, which is a separate matter altogether. And skin quality, which is often the part people have been noticing without quite being able to name it.

There are three distinct concerns, each with a different answer, which is why treating the neck as an afterthought to your face rarely gets anyone very far.

The good news is that most of it responds to being looked at properly. Sometimes that means adjusting what you're already doing at home. Sometimes it means something in the clinic.

If your neck has been on your mind, come and talk about it. We'd love to welcome you in.

At Addesso we look at your skin properly, in good light and up close, and asks about what's been going on, what you've noticed, what you've tried, what helped and what didn't. Your medical history, the products on your shelf, the things you've stopped bothering with.

It takes longer than most people expect, and that's on purpose. Skin is rarely doing one thing, and understanding what's driving the part that makes everything afterwards work is key.

Only then do we talk about options. Sometimes that means a treatment. Sometimes it means adjusting what you're already doing and seeing where that gets us first.

Either way, you'll leave understanding your own skin better than when you walked in.

We'd love to welcome you in.

The easiest part of any treatment, and the one people are most surprised by.

LED therapy involves lying still with your eyes covered while a light panel sits above your face. Nothing touches your skin, there's nothing to feel, and nothing at all for you to do. Most people are halfway to asleep before it finishes.

Different wavelengths of light reach different depths in the skin, which is why the setting your therapist chooses depends on what your skin has just been through, rather than being the same for everyone.

Dr Isha explains how it works above.

We'd love to welcome you in.

There's a stretch of life where skin quietly stops behaving the way it always has. And this is one of those products that can help you during your perimenopause or menopause.

Synergie's Press Pause has been formulated specifically for skin going through hormonal change, which is rarer than you'd think. Most products are made for a concern rather than a stage of life.

Dr Isha talks through what's in it above and what each part is doing. The short version is that it's built to support skin that's become drier, less firm and a bit less predictable than it used to be.

Like most things worth doing, it relies on consistency rather than intensity. Using it regularly will always serve you better than reaching for something stronger and giving up on it in a fortnight.

Whether it suits your skin is worth a conversation first, because the right recommendation depends on what your skin is actually doing, not on what stage you're at.

Available in the clinic, and we'd love to welcome you.

Your skin is quite good at keeping things out, which is generally a useful quality and occasionally an inconvenient one.

The barrier's job is to protect you, and it does that whether you'd like it to or not. So a serum sitting on the surface can only reach so far, no matter how well formulated it is.

The Osmosis Revitapen Pro works around that. It creates microscopic channels in the skin's surface so the nutrients your therapist has chosen can be delivered deeper rather than sitting on top.

What goes into those channels is chosen for your skin on the day, which is where the assessment really matters. The same treatment, applied thoughtfully, looks quite different from one person to the next.

If you'd like to know whether it would suit you, we'd love to welcome you.

If your breakouts sit along your chin and jawline, that pattern is telling you something.

It's the area most often linked to hormonal changes, which is why it can flare at certain points in the month, across different life stages, or during a period of real stress. It also tends to be deeper and more tender, sitting under the skin rather than on it.

These images show the same client before treatment and after a personalised plan with our team.

Acne is complex and rarely has a single cause, so what works for one person may not be right for another. That's the reason we start with a conversation rather than a treatment.

If breakouts have been part of your story for a while, we'd love to welcome you in.

Knowing what's happening is one thing. Knowing what to do about it is the part people actually want.

The good news is that a fair bit of it is within your control.

Sun protection matters more than almost anything else, and it's the least glamorous advice anyone gives. UV breaks down collagen faster than time does, and in North Queensland, that's happening whether you feel it or not.

Your routine is the next piece. Vitamins A, B and C each do different work, and getting the combination right for your skin makes more of a difference than adding more products. Which strengths suit you depends on what your skin can comfortably handle.

Then there's what can be done in the clinic. Skin needling with Dermapen works by triggering your skin's own repair response, and there are other options depending on what's driving your concerns.

Dr Isha talks through all of it above.

None of this needs to be done all at once, and the honest answer is often to start with one thing and build from there. That's exactly what a consultation is for.

We'd love to welcome you in.

If you're new here, this is Dr Isha Bagwe.

She's the doctor behind Addesso, and her road to Townsville was a long one. That's a story for your next consult.

Here's what matters most to her: there's no single version of beautiful, and no one-size-fits-all approach to skin. Your skin is yours. Your goals are yours. Her job is to understand both.

So her consults are never rushed. She'll ask about your skin, what you'd like to change (or not change), and how you actually live day to day. Then she'll take a proper look before recommending anything.

And she'll always be honest with you. If something can wait, she'll tell you. If you don't need it, she'll tell you that too. No pressure and no hard sell, ever.

Outside the clinic, she's passionate about women's health and education, and she's always learning. Skin science keeps moving, and she'd rather keep up than assume she already knows it all.

If you've been meaning to come in, consider this your sign. We'd love to meet you.

Collagen is the thing holding everything together, and most of us only think about it once it starts changing.

It's the protein that gives skin its structure and firmness, and its production gradually slows from your twenties onwards. What catches people out is menopause, because the decline steepens considerably, with research indicating that around 30% of skin collagen is lost in the first five years.

That's usually when skin starts behaving differently. Less firm, slower to settle, and less predictable than it used to be.

None of which means anything has gone wrong. It means your skin is asking for something different to what it needed at thirty.

Dr Isha talks through what's happening above and what can be done about it. Sometimes that's refining what you're already using at home. Sometimes it's something more involved, like skin needling. Which of those suits you depends entirely on your skin and what's driving the change.

This is the first of three we're sharing for Menopause Month, because it comes up in almost every consultation and nobody talks about it nearly enough.

We'd love to welcome you in.

Ask us anything. We mean it.

Skincare advice is everywhere, but very little of it was written with your skin in mind. If something you've read, seen or bought has left you second-guessing, bring it to your next appointment.

Our team will walk you through what a product actually does, whether it suits your skin, and whether it has earned its place in your routine. Sometimes the most honest answer is that what you already have is doing exactly what it should.

Education comes first here. No question is too small, and everyone is welcome.

We look forward to seeing you in the clinic.
