Liz Wensing I'm Liz, Health & Wellness Coach, Yoga Instructor, Feminine Embodiment & Exercise & Movement Coach

Hi, I'm Liz

Health and Wellness Coach, Yoga Instructor, Feminine Embodiment Practitioner and Exercise and Movement Coach. I have spent close to a decade working and studying in the field of health and wellness in various ways. From performing arts and personal training/gym instructor to administration and public health policy and becoming a mamma, my life has been rich with a variety of learning experiences. But my most profound experiences have come from personal travel, self-exploration and healing work. The path to doing this work with has been one of deep yearning and ultimately led by small everyday miracles. What I share with the people I work with is a culmination of my professional and personal experiences collectively. The work I do with my clients is about providing them with tools to support them in their everyday life, to connect them to their most true and authentic version of themself.

I bring perspectives from both Western and Eastern philosophy, appreciating the rigours of Western science and the ancient traditions of yoga and meditation from India. My work incorporates both grounded practical skills and somatic, embodiment practices with the goal of guiding you to a better understanding about yourself and how you thrive in life. I am humbled to be doing my soul's work through health and wellness coaching, yoga, embodiment and exercise and movement coaching.

I am delighted to be sharing the practice of Yoga tomorrow at . We kick off at 8.30am at the .

BOLD24 is a Bite Size movement held in Canberra with a series of events celebrating International Women's Day 2024.

International Women's Day theme for 2024 is 'Inspire Inclusion' .

When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.

And, when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

Tomorrow, we will celebrate diversity and be empowered through the practice of yoga.

Last day in Bali today.

Feeling extra grateful I've had this solo time to stop, reflect and recharge.

I'm aware that not all mummas have the option for a solo retreat. It's both a privilege and a choice.

But us mum's are people and women before we were mum's and it's OK to be you and do you along side being a mum.

It's so easy to let guilt stop you as a mum. Finding the balance is key. Sometimes it's about choosing you above your guilt and other times it's about knowing that choosing your family is the best choice.

The biggest lesson for me in this was learning that I'm not the only one who can care, love and provide for my child. That it's OK for people I choose and trust to care for my child. The love doesn't have to come from me alone (and of course it doesn't, but as mum we want to love our kids with everything we have all the time, which is why we ended up so depleted).

Going on this trip was about choosing me, making the choice to do something just for me. To recharge and reset.

After all us mums are the heart of the home. We bring so much and when our love cup is empty the love in the house is also depleted.

Just a gentle reminder this morning that the greatest love you'll ever find is inside yourself. ❤️

You'll find it by closing down your eyes, slowing down your breath and finding stillness.

You'll find it by taking a moment to give yourself exactly what you need. A slow morning, a cup of tea, a gentle wisper of loving words.

Go easy on yourself today. Offer yourself a moment of self-love. 😘

The next blog post in my Building Healthy Lifestyles series is about community, social connectedness, and relationships and how these contribute to a healthy thriving life.

A lot of people are still feeling the effects of the pandemic, quarantines and social isolation making social connectedness more important now than ever before. Particularly, at a time when mental health issues are on the rise.

Humans are social creatures. We have an innate need to connect and be social with other people. The connections we create with others adds meaning and value to our lives.

A thriving community can offer a sense of connectedness, kinship and camaraderie.

It provides a sense of place and a role for each person in the community.

It makes people feel they can bring themselves and contribute meaningfully.

Being part of a community can bring a sense of purpose and belonging.

I've finally made the time to release the next blog post in my Building Healthy Lifestyles series.

This next one is about how spirituality can support our health and wellbeing.

Spirituality is one of the many pillars that contribute to a thriving life.

Spirituality is so personal and unique to the individual, their background, cultural beliefs and the season of life they are in, and what they need their spirituality to represent at that moment in time.

And so, I wanted to start by sharing a little about what spirituality is for me.
