The Wellness Workshop Employee wellbeing programs & workshops that foster organisational productivity & performance.

The Wellness Workshop was originally founded as a welcoming space to help sufferers of mental illness and a range of lifestyle issues access support services such as Dietetics & Nutrition, Intuitive Eating, Exercise Physiology, Wellness Coaching and Meditation. Today, we are focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Australians through workplace wellbeing programs as well as in-person and virtual workshops for a range of organisations including the private and public sector, schools and sporting clubs. We align with the Health At Every Size (HAES) philosophy which focuses on improving overall health behaviours for all individuals regardless of their size or shape. Our programs are designed in line with evidence based approaches by a range of qualified practitioners. We are not social media influencers or sponsored by any affiliate companies meaning you get real, measurable, effective strategies that are tailored to your organisation.

Competing deadlines. Colleagues going on leave. Last-minute requests that suddenly become urgent.

The end of the year can put teams under pressure, but a little planning now can make a meaningful difference later.

We’ve created a free 60-minute team planning activity to help you reflect on what has and hasn’t worked before, identify potential bottlenecks and agree on practical actions for the weeks ahead.

The resources include:
> A printable planning pack with a facilitator guide, worksheets and action plan.
> Editable PowerPoint slides to guide the conversation.
> A presentation-ready PDF of the slides.

Bring your team together, work through five questions and leave with a shared plan you can refer to throughout the busy period.

Three years. Three workshop topics. And another warm welcome back.

We recently returned to the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health to deliver Stress Management with DEI Wellbeing Facilitator and Provisional Psychologist, Jessie - the third workshop with this organisation in as many years.

Being invited back is something we never take for granted. We love building relationships with teams and supporting their wellbeing through different topics as their needs evolve.

For those planning workplace training, professional development or wellbeing initiatives, that’s a useful place to start: what would help your people most right now? Tools to manage stress? More confidence having difficult conversations? Skills to navigate change?

Thank you to the Florey team for continuing to make time to upskill, and trusting us to be part of it.

Planning your next team PD? Get in touch and we’ll help you find a topic that fits your people.

Think about your last important meeting. Was everyone actually *there*?...

Did staff arrive straight from other calls? Was someone still thinking about an email? Did many seem distracted? Was someone eating their late lunch?

Sound familiar? In Microsoft’s Work Trend Index, 68% of people said they didn’t have enough uninterrupted focus time during the workday.

In fact - Inefficient meetings were the productivity disruption respondents ranked highest!

So what might change if you gave your team time to pause and really build capacity for focus *before* asking them to think critically?

Research has found that even a brief guided mindfulness practice can improve performance on attention tasks. It also found that mindfulness meditation helped people resist a decision-making bias: sticking with a choice because of what they’d already invested in it.

Last week we ran a 60 minute Guided Mindfulness Class for a client in the construction industry before a scheduled executive meeting. Not only did all attendees express gratitude for the exercises, the session absolutely flew by!

What’s coming up in your calendar?
A strategy day? A leadership meeting? A planning session where you need thoughtful discussion and careful decisions?

Book a Mindfulness Class first, and notice how the dynamic changes.
30, 45 and 60-minute sessions available online or face-to-face in Melbourne.

When thinking about workplace safety...do you still picture hard hats, wet-floor signs and manual handling?

Physical safety matters. But a truly safe workplace treats psychological health and psychosocial risks with just as much importance.

This National Safe Work Month, ask:

> What are we doing to help our people feel safe, supported and speak up?
> How are my everyday behaviours and communication style affecting others?
> Do we actually have anything planned for October?

Here are three practical options:

👉 A convenient 1-hour Virtual Emotional Resilience Seminar
👉 A 2-hour Mental Health in the Workplace Workshop to strengthen culture, performance and mental health
👉 A Self-Awareness Session challenging employees to reflect on how they behave, respond and show up at work

Workplace safety is more than preventing physical injuries. It’s also about creating an environment where people can speak, contribute and thrive.

October bookings are now open. Get in touch to secure your session.

6 people around a table. 300 people in an auditorium. Both can leave with practical strategies they can use the very next day.

This recent 2 hour Emotional Resilience Workshop brought together 11 Victoria University students preparing to become early childhood educators; a profession where adaptability, emotional regulation and resilience matters every day.

Of the six participants who provided anonymous feedback:

⭐ The session achieved an average rating of 9.5/10
⭐ Five felt the two-hour duration was just right
⭐ Jeremy’s delivery was described as insightful and interesting
⭐ The participant booklet was highlighted as especially helpful
⭐ The 4S Strategy: Strengths, Skills, Strategies and Support was a standout

Small groups create space for deeper discussion and connection. While larger sessions help build shared language and practical skills across an entire organisation.

With Mental Health Month approaching in October, don’t assume your team is too small or too large to benefit.

Whether you’re bringing together 6 or 300, our team will make it memorable.

Imagine waking up to 36 people in your bedroom...there grabbing you for attention.

One tells you what they ate last night. Another shows you their promotion. Someone demands your opinion on a war overseas. Someone else is furious about a political leader. Three people try to sell you something. Two are arguing. And one shows off their morning fitness routine they started 2 hours ago.

Sound familiar?

That’s essentially what you invite into your mind every morning you wake up, pull out your phone and scroll your social media feed.

It's no wonder you're turning up to work exhausted, overwhelmed and over it.

Why not try something else instead?

Tomorrow, let your own mind wake up first. Have breakfast, get ready and get into work. No screens, no phone, no outside world noise.

Delay the drama.
Start with your day. Not everyone else’s.

Some of our biggest and most trusted clients… are the ones we can’t name. And we get that.

When a national organisation invites an external provider into its workplaces to lead meaningful conversations about mental health, discretion matters.

This series took Principal Psychologist, Jeremy, across six cities to deliver seven half-day workshops to almost 200 participants. Having one facilitator lead every session created consistency across the team, while allowing each location to explore the challenges and conversations most relevant to them.

From airports and hotel rooms to workshop setups, practical activities and shared stories, it was a significant journey - and a highly successful one.

> Average participant rating = 8.8/10
> 84% of respondents rated their experience higher than an 8/10

The organisation remains unnamed.
But the journey and its impact is well worth sharing.

One organisation. Six cities. Seven workshops. One connected experience.
