High protein and fibre what I eat in a day ~ exam study edition

Back to back degrees can get kind of exhausting while balancing work at the same time, but meal prep and quick recipes with minimal clean up help get through those busy days without leaving nutrition on the sidelines. Having cut up vegetables to munch also helps keep those snack cravings at bay!
Everything is in containers since I studied in the library this day and packed food the day before to ✨️maximise productivity✨️ and minimise decision fatigue while studying.

Breakfast: cacao chia pudding (recipe on my profile) with banana
Study snack: Greek yogurt with blueberries
Lunch: Palak paneer with rice and a side of vegetables
Sweet treat: Mangoes with more greek yogurt
Dinner: Besan cheela (chickpea flour pancake) with more vegetables 🐰

• MATILDA • is the cutest Parisian-inspired cafe tucked away in Mont Albert that has been on my visit list for years. The vibes here are so cozy- perfect for a catch up with friends or a solo date. The savoury scone was unexpectedly our favourite item here and we'll definitely be going back for it!

We ordered:
- breakfast plate (4/5)- great quality sourdough and the beet hummus was divine, just wish the avocado was seasoned or there was another warm element
- croque madame (3.75/5)- carby and cheesy, it's what you might expect, but could be more well seasoned/balanced imo
- savoury scone (5/5)- not sure if it's the same every day but ours was zucchini and feta, so moreish!
- mont blanc
- Flat white (4/5)- smooth medium roast, they use Inglewood beans

If you're craving a taste of Paris without emptying your wallet, you must visit Gigi - a "Euro centric" bar by Entrecôte , Melbourne's newest French inspired venue.

Everything on the menu is 12 dollars, and perfectly portioned so you can try everything you want. They have an incredibly unique mocktail menu too, so it's the perfect place if you want to experience w**e bar vibes without the alcohol, or you can choose from their wide range of w**es and cocktails too.

We ordered
- Gigi's chicken sandwich (4/5)- simple but very well executes- bread was perfectly buttery and crispy, great bread to filling ratio and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. I've surprisingly been craving this
- caviar bump (5/5)- very fun for the experience!
- Dip à l’Oignon Français (3/5) chips and french onion dip, can skip, a bit overpriced
- Salade de Chèvre Chaud (3/5)- proportions were off, a bit too much cheese compared to the salad, and I wish the cheese was more flavourful
- Mousse au Chocolat (5/5)- super decadent, great balance of textures with the crunchy topping and one of the only times I've actually finished a Chantilly cream. No notes. Would recommend sharing since the portion is HUGE
- Creme caramel (4/5)- a classic done well, the chocolate one was just better

📍.carnegie

The cosiest cafe in the heart of Carnegie with living room style seating and so many unique matcha and coffee drinks to choose from.

We tried:
- Earl grey espresso (8/10) - perfect if you like speciality drinks that aren't too sweet, with the floral notes from the early grey pairing really well with their smooth espresso (comes with two shots of iced coffee)
- Homemade butterscotch matcha (9/10) - somehow the matcha and biscoff flavours don't overpower each other, and you can definitely tell that they don't skimp on the amount of matcha powder used!

Would definitely go back to try more of the menu 🙌
