As part of National Carers Week, Jenny and Bec attended the Carers SA Leaders Breakfast in Adelaide, joining MPs and industry stakeholders at a Leadership Forum focused on the needs and support of carers.

They also enjoyed catching up with Helen Morley, Care Finder Program Lead at Country SA PHN.

National Carers Week is a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contribution carers make every day.

📣 South Australian GPs – ADHD training opportunity!

The RACGP South Australia Faculty is pleased to advise that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are now open for an additional cohort of 100 South Australian GPs to participate in the SA ADHD GP Training Program in 2027.

One of our GPs completed the program last year, so we’re sharing it to help other practices become aware of the opportunity and explore whether it may be beneficial for their teams.

If your practice is interested in building knowledge and confidence in ADHD assessment and management, this may be worth looking into.

At Country & Outback Health, we recognise the important role carers play in our regional communities. Through our work alongside Carers SA, we’re proud to help connect carers with support, opportunities to share their experiences and guidance to help them navigate the challenges of their caring role.

This week, we encourage everyone to check in on the carers in their lives. Ask how they’re going, take the time to listen and remind them that their wellbeing matters, too.

Having someone who understands the system and can help you navigate the options can make the process feel much less overwhelming.

If you or someone you know needs help navigating the aged care system, reaching out to your local Care Finder could be a great place to start.
