HANG ON… WHAT?! 🤯 We’ve got our own medicine like factory INSIDE us?! 💊💪 ooooh yeah! 😃

YEP! And our MUSCLES are part of the magic! 🧬
When we move, our muscles release powerful signalling molecules called myokines that communicate with other parts of our body, that negatively impact the internal environment around cancer cells.
And THIS is why we’re so passionate about changing the conversation around exercise in cancer care!
It’s not just about fitness or getting stronger.
It’s about BIOLOGY. BIOCHEMISTRY.
And the extraordinary things happening inside our bodies when we move!

CanConquer takes this science beyond the research papers and into real cancer care, helping people harness the benefits of targeted exercise before, during and after treatment. ❤️

💗 SCARS NEED LOVE TOO

Because healing goes so much deeper than the surface.

After breast cancer surgery, scars aren’t just something we see. They can affect movement, comfort, confidence and how someone feels in their own body.

At CanConquer, we believe scar rehabilitation deserves attention, care and a place in cancer recovery.

Through specialised scar therapy, we help restore tissue mobility, reduce discomfort and support women to move freely and confidently again.

✨ Because your scar is part of your story. But it shouldn’t have to limit your next chapter.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s talk about the importance of scar rehabilitation. 💕

Feeling pretty chuffed, and so grateful. THANK YOU! ❤️

It’s incredible to see the message from my talk on Exercise Oncology reaching more people. Thank you for this incredible platform!

Every view is an opportunity to raise awareness of the important role targeted exercise can play in cancer care, recovery, wellbeing and quality of life.

Exercise is not one-size-fits-all. No way! Precisely tailored exercise, matched to each person, their treatment and their circumstances, can be a valuable part of supporting people living with and beyond cancer. And there’s strong research behind it!

Thank you to everyone who has watched, shared and helped spread this message. Together, we can keep building awareness of exercise oncology and its place in cancer care. 🙏❤️

Meet Mads 🫶🏼

Madolyn was around 10 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. A friend pointed her to CanConquer, and she trained with us right through her chemotherapy and pregnancy. On many treatment days that meant a 6am session before 8am chemo.

At 38 weeks she welcomed her beautiful son, August. Two weeks later she had surgery and her rehab continues.

Her story is sitting alongside Kylie’s feature in the October issue of InMotion, the Australian Physiotherapy Association magazine.

Swipe to read it in her words or check the link 🔗 in bio.

Thank you Mads for letting us share this, you are so inspiring ❤️

A huge thank you to the Australian Physiotherapy Association and InMotion for shining a big light on exercise as part of cancer care. 🙌
We’re incredibly proud to see CanConquer and our founder, Kylie Moffitt featured in the October edition of InMotion. That’s pretty cool!

Ten years ago, one oncology lecture completely changed the direction of Kylie’s clinical practice, and ultimately led to the creation of CanConquer, the incredible team we have today PhysioHealth Corrimal, and a shared mission to positively impact the lives of people affected by cancer.

What started with Kylie being completely fascinated by what exercise was actually doing inside the body during cancer treatment, and a curiosity to understand more, grew into something much bigger.

That curiosity grew into a model of care combining physiotherapy, exercise oncology and lymphoedema therapy across the cancer continuum, and a determination to help make exercise an expected part of cancer care.

The science is incredible. But evidence alone isn’t enough.
We need to get it off the page, into clinical practice and to the people who need it!

Seeing this conversation front and centre in our profession’s magazine feels pretty special, and another step towards something we’ve believed from the beginning:
Exercise belongs in cancer care. 🧡
Thank you InMotion for helping us keep this conversation moving 💪
Let’s all keep up this momentum 💥 😊

“I’ve got prostate cancer, what else can I do?”

Targeted Exercise. And the mode matters.

A new Bayesian network meta analysis (Liu et al., 2026) ranked exercise modes in men with prostate cancer. Resistance training ranked first for both muscle strength and 6 min walk distance. Aerobic ranked first for fat mass.

Surgery, ADT and radiotherapy save lives, but they cost muscle, bone and aerobic fitness along the way. Training is how you protect what treatment takes. And gee, does it help you feel better (inside & out) along the way!!

Going through prostate cancer treatment, or supporting someone who is? You don’t have to guess at the dose. CanConquer runs supervised exercise oncology programs built for your treatment and goals. ✅ 💪

💪 It’s more than a muscle for a flex.
When Sim curls that weight, there’s a whole lot more happening beneath the skin than a bicep getting stronger.

Resistance training creates a biochemical response!!

Contracting muscle acts like a signalling organ, releasing chemical messengers called myokines that communicate throughout the body, including with the immune system.

In cancer care, researchers are exploring how these exercise-driven signals may influence inflammation, immune function and the tumour environment, alongside the very real benefits of maintaining muscle, strength and physical capacity through treatment.

So when we prescribe resistance training during cancer treatment, we’re not just building muscle.
We’re creating a biological stimulus. 🧬💪
Muscle is more than strength. It’s critical for our health.
And that bicep curl? It’s doing far more than you can see. ✨

🚨 Exercise is changing colorectal cancer care.

The 2025 CHALLENGE Trial found that supervised exercise after colon cancer treatment can improve survival.

Participants experienced:

✅ 37% fewer deaths
✅ Better disease-free survival
✅ Improved strength and physical function
✅ Better long-term cardiovascular health

This isn’t generic exercise. It’s prescribed like medicine; tailored to your diagnosis, treatment and goals.

At CanConquer, our Colorectal Exercise Oncology & Survivorship Pathway supports you through:

🟣 Prehabilitation – preparing for surgery or treatment
🟣 During treatment – reducing fatigue and maintaining strength
🟣 Survivorship – rebuilding health and confidence

Exercise is now recognised as a key part of modern cancer care, not an optional extra.

If you’ve been diagnosed with colon or colorectal cancer, contact CanConquer to learn more 💪
