🏆 WE WON! Outstanding Business Champion!
Well, this one has really hit me in the feels.
Last week, I was incredibly honoured to receive the Outstanding Business Champion Award at the Moira Shire Business Awards.
And while I absolutely LOVE a shiny trophy (who doesn’t?!), this award means something a little different.
This category recognises individuals who go beyond growing their own business to mentor, advocate for and champion others, helping our entire local business community thrive.
And THAT is something I’m incredibly passionate about.
I’ve always believed that success isn’t just about what you build for yourself. It’s about who you lift up along the way.
As a local girl who grew up in this community, built a business here, raised a family here and experienced firsthand the highs and lows of small business life, I know just how important it is to have people in your corner.
Running a business in a regional town isn’t always easy. We juggle a lot, we wear a ridiculous number of hats, we have limited options for qualified help, and sometimes we wonder what on earth we’re doing!
But I’ve always believed that when local businesses support each other, share knowledge, celebrate wins and lend a hand through the tough times, our whole community becomes stronger.
There’s enough room for all of us to succeed.
To be recognised for something that genuinely means so much to me is incredibly humbling.
To the other business owners in our region who get up every day, take risks, employ locals, support community groups and pour their hearts into what they do, I see you, I admire you, and I’ll always be cheering you on.
A huge thank you to Moira Shire for this recognition, to my beautiful Bella Pelle team who allow me the opportunity to do what I love, and to everyone who has supported me along the way.
Because at the end of the day, a successful business is wonderful. But a thriving community? That’s something really worth celebrating. ❤️
And to think, all those years ago, I was just a local girl with a big dream and absolutely no idea where it would take me.
Turns out, sometimes the best thing you can do with success is share it.
