Did you know it's Invisible Disabilities Week from 18-24 October?

• It's estimated that roughly 80% to 85% of people with a disability live with a non-visible or hidden condition.
• These can include neurological disorders, cognitive differences, sensory impairments, mental health conditions and chronic illnesses or pain syndromes.

If you're looking for a sunflower lanyard that discretely indicates a hidden disability for yourself or a loved one, many Westfield Shopping Centres and the Perth Airport are now Sunflower friendly, and you can usually get these lanyards from their respective concierge desks.

For decades, the standard path to an autism diagnosis meant a long wait, unfamiliar medical offices, and stressful clinical environments.

For many neurodivergent individuals and their families, the journey to answers was often as exhausting as it was necessary.

Fortunately, clinical practice has evolved, and Telehealth Autism Assessments are now a widely accepted, highly accurate alternative to traditional in-person evaluations.

If you'd like to find out more, read our insightful blog on the link below, or visit our website for more information on Autism Assessments.

When people hear the words speech pathologist, they might immediately think about helping someone pronounce sounds correctly.

But speech pathology is so much more than speech.

Speech pathologists support people with communication, language, social interaction, literacy, fluency and swallowing. They work with people across the lifespan, and every client brings their own strengths, goals and challenges.

At One Central Health, speech pathologists work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with families, schools, support workers and other allied health professionals.

World Mental Health Day takes place annually on 10 October to raise global awareness, reduce social stigma, and mobilize support for mental health.

The main goal is to encourage open conversations about mental wellbeing and improve access to proper care worldwide.

It's important because mental health is as crucial as physical health. Millions of people face mental health challenges like anxiety and depression, and reducing the stigma helps people feel safe enough to seek help early.
