Got a big event tomorrow? 🛑 STOP RIGHT THERE! The night before is NOT the time to experiment with your skincare routine. 🙅‍♂️

People often think an intense last-minute treatment will work miracles, but it's actually the fastest way to trigger irritation, redness, or unexpected breakouts. In this video, I explain why you need to completely avoid new products, strong exfoliation, or aggressive treatments.

The golden pre-event rule is: Keep it simple! ✨

Here is what you should use tonight instead:

✅ A gentle cleanser

✅ A hydrating serum

✅ Your trusty moisturizer
..and get some sleep! 😴 Your skin needs calm, not a last-minute miracle.

What is your holy grail product that you never skip before an important night? Let me know in the comments! 👇

10,000× more powerful than Vitamin C? 👀

That’s one of the claims you may have seen about astaxanthin — a naturally occurring red carotenoid produced by microalgae.

The impressive numbers come from specific laboratory antioxidant tests, so they don’t mean astaxanthin has a 10,000× greater effect than vitamin C inside the human body.

But the science is still fascinating. 🔬
Astaxanthin is being studied for its potential effects on oxidative stress, inflammation, cardiovascular and metabolic health, exercise recovery and healthy aging.

Human studies have commonly investigated doses in the 4–12 mg/day range, depending on the outcome being studied.

Promising? Absolutely.
Magic? No.

Some inflammatory processes can remain subtle, which is why certain biomarkers may provide useful information when interpreted in the right clinical context.

In this series, I discuss hs-CRP, IL-6, GlycA and urinary metabolomics — what they can tell us, their limitations, and why an abnormal result alone does not automatically mean chronic inflammation.
Blood tests are pieces of the puzzle, not the diagnosis.

They should always be interpreted alongside your symptoms, medical history and individual risk factors.

Educational content only. Tests should be selected and interpreted with your healthcare professional.

Not all acne is the same — and neither is the treatment. 🔬

Blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and post-acne marks may look similar, but they require different approaches.

The first step to treating acne correctly is understanding what type of lesion you’re actually dealing with.

And remember: squeezing or picking inflammatory lesions can increase the risk of pigmentation and scarring.

📌 Save this guide for the next time you’re trying to understand a breakout.

Stop buying skincare randomly. Match the active ingredient to what your skin actually needs:

Oily skin → Niacinamide

Blackheads → Salicylic Acid

Redness → Azelaic Acid

Dry skin → Ceramides

Fine lines → Peptides

Save this cheat sheet for your next purchase and let me know in the comments: which ingredient is already part of your routine?
