Editorial Board Appointment and Recognition Ceremony.

The Bhutan Health Journal (BHJ) held its Editorial Board Appointment and Recognition Ceremony on the 4th of August, celebrating the dedicated service of our outgoing members and welcoming our newly appointed and continuing Editorial Board members.

Graced by the President of KGUMSB, the ceremony was an opportunity to honour and thank our outgoing members for their invaluable contributions while warmly welcoming our newly appointed and continuing Editorial Board members as they take forward the mission of BHJ with a commitment to scientific integrity, academic excellence, and scholarly publishing.

Our appreciation also goes to members who could not attend the ceremony in person. Together, we look forward to strengthening the Bhutan Health Journal and advancing its mission to promote and disseminate health research in Bhutan.

Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a rare, life-threatening disease that can cause severe anemia, low platelets, and kidney failure. Bhutan recently documented its first successfully managed case using plasma exchange (PLEX), demonstrating that timely diagnosis, multidisciplinary care, and resourceful treatment can improve outcomes, even in resource-limited settings.
