At 82, Mr Carl Leon Liebenberg travelled from Botswana seeking a less invasive solution for serious heart disease. ❤️

At Apollo Hospital, Delhi, Dr Varun Bansal performed robotic-assisted coronary artery bypass surgery through small incisions, avoiding the need to open the chest bone. Mr Carl was walking the next day and was fit to return home after only five days.

His journey shows how advanced robotic cardiac surgery can support faster recovery with less pain and fewer complications.

A brave journey from Botswana to a new beginning 💚

Young Shalom faced complex health challenges from birth due to spina bifida and a neurogenic bladder, eventually developing end-stage kidney disease and a severely infected kidney.

At Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi, Dr Ajay Kumar Sharma, Dr Bharat Bhushan and their transplant team removed the infected kidney and performed a successful kidney transplant with specialised urinary diversion. Today, Shalom’s recovery is giving her family renewed hope.
