That dreaded phrase that so many of us use that keeps us stuck and not able to achieve our goals?

“I don't have time.” Yep that's the one.

I can't even count the number of times I said that phrase honestly.

This phrase has kept me from a lot of things in life including reaching my body weight and fitness goals at one time.

The plain and simple fact is I DID have time to look after my health, I just chose not to.

Like many others I spent hours watching TV and more time on social media then I needed to every day. It wasn't my priority and I always seemed to have an excuse.

I was always trying to follow the next fad diet and someone else’s plan. Watching everyone else do great was another friction point for me. I was constantly on that binge and restrict cycle where I would restrict calories and then fall off the wagon, the never, ending yoyo cycle.

It really hit home with me when I started travelling a lot for work. I soon realized if I did not find some kind of long-term plan and make some significant changes I was not only going to be sick all of the time but I would struggle even more with my weight.

I knew I needed to create a habits and a lifestyle that would get me the goals I so desired.

The gap between knowing what to do and actually being able to do it was too big...

I hired a nutrition coach and worked with a naturo-path and set some goals.

Slowly I built small routines. These routines led to actual habits.

It takes time, but you can start the same process!🚀

Consistency is Key!

Makenna started with me the beginning of June on a one on one program. This is at the 45 day mark!

Total Inches Lost 13

3 on her waist
1.5 on her hips
4 on her chest
1 on her arms
3.5 on her thighs

Makenna came to me undereating. By increasing her calories and cleaning up her diet she has gone leaps and bounds in the first 45 days.

"My weight loss journey hasn't been easy, for 3 years I have struggled with my body image and different types of diets that never seemed to do the trick. Have you ever heard the saying, “You reap what you sow?” Well, there is more to that saying than what you might think.

We become what we think through a series of events that inevitably lead to our successes or failures.

Our thoughts literally become our fate.

Be careful your thoughts, they become your beliefs.
Be careful of your beliefs, they become your words.
Be careful of your words, they become your actions.
Be careful of your actions, they become your character.
Be careful of your character, for it will become your legacy.

I can relate to this because from as early as grade 3 I thought I was the fat kid in school compared to all my friends.

Leading into my elementary and teenage years I was not athletic or involved in sports other then curling and I became less and less confident in my body image.

I started working out and really had no idea what I was doing.

Fast forward to a failed marriage and countless unsuccessful relationships where I never felt I was good enough.

Luckily for me I found Crossfit and it changed my way of thinking and made me feel stronger and improved my self image.

However it didn't stop there. I always felt the need to be that much leaner and was SOOO focused on my diet and exercise that I wouldn't eat dessert and became obsessed with tracking my food.

Only in the last four years have I felt confident and happy.

I guess my take-away here is you can’t expect to be successful if your head is filled with all the reasons why you will fail.

Instead, you need to focus your thoughts on achieving your goals (what does that look like?) and believe it’s possible. How?

• Read success stories of people like you. If they can do it so can you!
•Surround yourself with people who were where you are and have achieved the success you desire
• Engage with people that support your goals and want to see you succeed

It’s time to start choosing and believing in YOU.

How many of us continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results?

How many times have you told yourself

I am going to lose weight
I am going to eat healthier
I am going to get more exercise
I am going to make these changes so I can be around longer for my kids

How many times have you actually set out to do one or all of these things and failed?

Is it really lack of motivation or is it just the lack of having a plan?

Motivation comes and goes but planning is key to accomplishing anything in life.

So my question is why do you treat your health, nutrition and exercise any differently?

Maybe it's time to set out a plan to do one thing each week to make this picture end up differently.

Quit talking and begin doing!

It’s easy to get stuck from time to time.

It may be the lack of motivation to exercise, the lack of preparation to have healthy meals on hand or the lack of energy to make it all happen.

We all get ‘stuck’ sometimes.

Now's the time to give yourself permission to say goodbye to what you know and walk straight towards the unknown.

Make today the day you will make a change.

Take just one step towards a healthier and happier life and guaranteed…everything else you want will begin to move towards you.

Obstacles will be gone. Opportunities will come into focus.

When you step out of your comfort zone just a tiny bit, the body you want, the good health you seek, and even the ‘sexy you’ you want to bring back will come to into focus.

Give yourself a chance.

Today is your day!
