October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of regular screening and early detection.

At St. Francis Memorial Hospital, we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful breast screening experience for everyone.

The Ontario Breast Screening Program welcomes all individuals who meet the eligibility criteria. You may be eligible for screening if you:

• Are 40–74 years of age
• Have no history of breast cancer
• Have no breast symptoms

Early detection can make a difference, and everyone deserves access to compassionate, high-quality care close to home.

BCFHT now has COVID-19 vaccines available, alongside our Flu and RSV vaccines!

All vaccinations are available by appointment only.

You do not need to have a healthcare provider with our team to book an appointment. Our vaccination clinics are open to eligible community members, including those with and without a family doctor or nurse practitioner.

With Diabetes Awareness Month just around the corner, we want to remind our community about the Diabetes Education Program offered through the Bancroft Community Family Health Team!

Whether you are living with Type 2 diabetes, have prediabetes, or are at risk of developing diabetes, our team is here to help.

Our program offers education and support with healthy eating, physical activity, blood sugar management, and making healthy lifestyle changes.

You do not need to have a health care provider with our team to participate! Our program is open to community members, and you can self-refer or ask your health care provider for a referral.
