Saving Grace Thanadoula As a Certified Thanadoula, I am happy to answer questions, facilitate difficult conversations and break the taboo. Welcome! I am so happy you are here.

Embracing death, frees you to truly honour life and heal generational suffering. I am just getting started on my official Thanadoula services so please be patient while I iron out the business side of things. A little bit about myself…. My name is Aleta Grace Mountney. I was born in Bancroft, Ontario and lived here most of my life. I spent 10 amazing years on Canada’s East Coast before returning home in 2019. It was very bitter sweet. I was completely consumed by my love of the ocean and found it very hard to leave but nothing compares to being with family. I have 18+ years in long term care. Over the years, I have developed a solid understanding and a vast experience when it comes to end of life care. It wasn’t until recently that I was in a position to make my passion, my career. My passion for palliative care began, when I supported my mom through her transition, at the age of 19. My mother was a saint and we were all terrified of “losing” her. After embarking on this journey to becoming a death doula, I realized that what we should have been terrified of, was wasting precious time we still had left. Life can be scary, but death doesn’t have to be. Death can be a beautiful process, if you know what to expect and know that you will transition on YOUR terms, with someone by your side the whole way. I would love to share this gift with you. Want to know more? Please do not hesitate to reach out! You can call me, send me a private message via Facebook or email me @ [email protected]. I would LOVE to chat!

Grief can catch you in the middle of an ordinary day.

You might reach for your phone to message them before remembering. Hear a song and suddenly feel like the air has gone out of the room. Miss something small, like their voice, their chair, the way they said your name.

Some days you may laugh, enjoy yourself, even feel okay for a while, then feel guilty for it. Other days you may feel angry, numb, tired, or completely overwhelmed. None of this means you loved them any less. None of it means you are grieving “wrong”.

Grief does not move in a straight line. A smell, a photo, a birthday, a familiar place, or an important occasion can bring it all close again. A hard day is not going backwards. It is just love and loss showing up together.

You do not have to “move on” from someone who mattered. You learn, slowly and in your own way, how to carry them with you.

Hey everyone, it’s been a hot minute since I have been active on here.

The reason for this is that my new chapter took me in a beautiful and divine direction.

While I will always remain a Thanadoula at heart and I will continue to be a source of inspiration and awareness surrounding death. My sacred mission has now encompassed QHHT.

Becoming a death doula, my mission was always about ending generational trauma and suffering through breaking the taboo and supporting people to make better informed decisions.

Now, not only can I help prevent the trauma with my Thanadoula knowledge, but I can help you heal traumas that have already occurred through QHHT!

Feel free to join me over at Saving Grace Sacred Healing ✨✌🏼

In love and service,

Aleta

One day, every one of us will be remembered in photographs, stories, and the hearts of the people we love. None of us knows when that day will come, which is exactly why today matters SO MUCH.

We hear it often. BUT SERIOUSLY. STOP. Let it sink in.

So many people spend their lives waiting. FOR WHAT? Waiting for more time, more money, the perfect opportunity, or the right moment to become who they truly want to be. Yet life has a way of reminding us that tomorrow is never guaranteed.

If today became part of your end story, would it reflect the life you hoped to live? Did you choose love over fear? Did you make memories instead of excuses? Did you tell the people who matter that they matter? Did you give yourself permission to truly live?

Death isn’t meant to frighten us. It has the power to wake us up. Sometimes the greatest gift the reality of death offers is the reminder to stop surviving and start living.

Live in a way that, when your loved ones remember you, they smile before they cry. 🤍
