A few moments from our Paraprofessional Week celebrations! 💙📸

We celebrated our incredible Home Support Workers and Personal Support Workers, and enjoyed the chance to catch up with so many caregivers who stopped by the office.

To our caregiving team: thank you for the compassion, skill and dedication you bring to our clients’ homes every day. We loved having the opportunity to celebrate you!

Congratulations to all of our prize winners and to Bill Morrison, our Paraprofessional of the Year! 👏🎉

💙 FREE In-Person Grief Workshop | October 20

As visiting nurses, we often support patients and families navigating grief and loss. While caring for others is at the heart of what we do, it’s just as important to care for ourselves.

Join us for a FREE, in-person grief workshop — an incredible opportunity to build our capacity to support both ourselves and others through grief.

This workshop offers a welcoming space to learn, reflect, connect, and strengthen the compassion and understanding we bring to our work every day.

📅 October 20 8:30 AM — 2:30 PM | Orillia Common Roof Building 169 Front St S., Orillia

“How are you doing?” 💙

When your days are spent caring for others, it can be easy to move your own needs to the bottom of the list.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re reminding our staff, caregivers and community that you deserve support, too. You don’t have to reach a breaking point or prove that things are “bad enough” to ask for help.

Take a moment to check in with yourself. Reach out to someone you trust. And when you ask a colleague how they’re doing, make room for an honest answer.

Caring for the people who care for others matters.

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for our incredible caregivers and healthcare professionals who go above and beyond to care for others.

A special thank you to those working over the holiday weekend, spending time away from their own families to make sure others receive the care and support they need. Your compassion, kindness and dedication never go unnoticed.

To our clients, families and community, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude and togetherness. 🧡

REMINDER: Education Session Today

Today’s education topic is Pediatric Palliative Care.

Given the complexity of pediatric illness and caregiving, we’ll be dividing this important topic into two parts.

Today’s focus:
Understanding Pediatric Life-Limiting Illness and the Importance of Anticipatory Guidance

A second session focused on Pediatric Complex Symptom Management will be held at a later date.

We look forward to learning together and building greater understanding around the unique needs of children and families navigating life-limiting illness.

Today, we pause to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡

We honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of the residential school system.

Reconciliation requires more than acknowledgement. It asks us to keep listening, learning and making space for Indigenous voices, histories and experiences.

Today and every day, we encourage our community to continue that learning. We also encourage everyone to wear their orange shirts today as we stand together in recognition, remembrance and support.
