What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda aims to relieve symptoms, prevent illness & help you lead &maintain a healthy lifestyle. Nadi pariksha is a very important part of consultation & assessment in Ayurveda.
It is a holistic treatment that combines –medication, diet, yoga, massage, detoxification & use of herbs & oils to gain optimum health.
In Ayurvedic medicine, it is believed that everything within the universe, including us, is composed of five elements. –Air, fire, water, earth, space & three doshas- Vata, pitta Kapha.
Doshas are affected by five elements & in turn, perfect health is only achieved when each of the three doshas is in equilibrium within us. Ayurveda views the balance of three doshas as health & imbalance as disease.
The human body is very complex .
The three doshas form the basis of your physical constitution, mental capacities & your emotional behavior.
Vata is related to the body’s energy & nervous system.
Pitta is related to temperature & the biochemical process in the body. Kapha is related to maintenance of the skeletal system, strength & formation of the body.

What is Menopause?
Menopause is the time that marks the end of your menstrual cycle. The transition phase before menopause is peri-menopause. During menopause your body goes through major hormonal changes. Your hormones like estrogen & progesterone continues to drop lead to symptoms like hot flashes, joint pain, insomnia, hyper tension, fatigue, mood swings, weight gain etc.
Do you know Menopause is linked to changes in metabolism, reduce bone density, osteoporosis, increase risk of heart disease & poor sleep. Menopause is a final stage in a woman's reproductive life cycle.
In order to feel better during this time here are a few tips:
