ππ‘ LIGHT IT UP PURPLE FOR DEAM! π‘π
Today, October 15, weβre lighting up purple and/or blue in recognition of Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM)! ππ
DEAM is an opportunity to celebrate the valuable contributions of workers with disabilities, raise awareness about the barriers they face, and encourage more inclusive and accessible workplaces.
At Inclusions East, this cause is especially meaningful. Every day, we see the incredible abilities, talents, and potential of the individuals we support. Everyone deserves the opportunity to contribute, develop new skills, build independence, and experience the pride that comes with meaningful employment.
π For individuals with disabilities, it means having the opportunity to pursue their goals, share their talents, and be valued for what they bring to the workplace.
π For employers, it means recognizing the benefits of an inclusive workforce and creating opportunities for everyone to succeed.
π For our community, it means building a future where ability is recognized, barriers are broken down, and everyone has the chance to belong.
π‘ HELP US LIGHT UP OUR COMMUNITY! πΈ
Do you have colour-changing Christmas lights or permanent outdoor lights that can be set to purple and/or blue? We invite you to turn them on tonight and share a photo of your purple-lit home or business in the comments below!
Let's fill our community with purple and/or blue lights and show our support for disability employment and workplace inclusion. Every light helps spread the message that inclusion matters, opportunity matters, and everyone has something valuable to contribute. πβ¨ Thank you for helping us celebrate DEAM and build a more inclusive community!
