It’s my birthday today! 🄳 Another trip around the sun and a few more candles on the cake.

At 56, I’ve figured out a few things about what makes me feel good, what works for me and what I’m not willing to give up.

Over the years I’ve learned that healthy living doesn’t have to be about perfection or restriction. It’s the small swaps we make consistently that will have the biggest impact on how we feel.

Here are a few of my favourites that I fully embrace:

* Olive oil or avocado oil instead of highly refined cooking oils.
* Sparkling water with fresh lemon or lime instead of sugary drinks.
* A breakfast rich in healthy fats and protein instead of a carb-heavy start to the day.
* Homemade salad dressings instead of store-bought. Seriously, so easy and SO much better!
* Dark chocolate instead of overly sweet desserts.
* Getting outside and spending time in nature instead of more time scrolling.
* Reading a good book before bed instead of watching TV or looking at my phone.

Do I do all of these perfectly, every single day? šŸ˜No.
Am I having a glass of w**e and cake tonight? 🄳 Yes!

These are little things that have become second nature, and I feel better for them.

So here is to another year of good health, great friends and all of you. Thank you for being here. 🫶

My first time to Monte Tremblant, Quebec!

What an incredible 5 days we had here surrounded by mountains, trees and amazing friends.

Enjoyed the paved pathways on our gravel bikes and then I rode my mountain bike for the first time ON A MOUNTAIN!

I am so grateful for everything this past week provided to me.

Peace out Quebec.
You were more than I expected.
I will be back.

Their words. Not mine. šŸ¤
Real stories. Real people. Real progress.

I’m so grateful to work with such incredible clients. Swipe through to read a few recent Google reviews from women who have trusted me to be part of their wellness journey.

One of my goals has always been to make nutrition feel simple, not overwhelming.

Reading Joanne’s review reminds me that sometimes it’s the simplest changes that have the biggest impact.

There is no finish line when it comes to health.

Building simple, sustainable habits is what creates lasting change, and I’m so glad I could support Patty on that journey.

Every person who walks through my (virtual) door has a unique story, different goals, and their own challenges.

It was a privilege to provide personalized guidance and be part of Karen’s journey toward better health.

Every review reminds me why I love what I do.

Helping people simplify nutrition, build sustainable habits, and feel like themselves again is truly an honour.

Thank you for taking the leap with me allowing me to be part of your journey. 🫶

If there’s one thing I hope every client takes away from working with me, it’s this:

Once you’re in my world….you are IN my world and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Whether you’re looking to improve your energy, balance blood sugar, support sustainable weight or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to help.

Today I led my first Forest Therapy walk of the season for Peterborough Hospice, and as always, it was everything I needed it to be.

There is something incredibly powerful about slowing down, stepping into nature, and giving ourselves permission to simply be.

No goals to achieve. No expectations. Just noticing, breathing, and reconnecting.

Each walk reminds me that healing doesn’t always come from doing more - it comes from creating space to listen, reflect, and be present.

I’m grateful to continue offering these volunteer walks with Peterborough Hospice and to witness the comfort, connection, and peace that nature can provide.

If you’ve been curious about Forest Therapy, or if it’s been a while since you’ve visited my website, I’ve recently updated my services to include this offering. I invite you to explore how guided time in nature can support your well-being, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

Nature has a way of meeting us exactly where we are. 🌿

STRAWBERRY LOVERS, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU! šŸ“

There’s nothing quite like fresh local strawberries, and every year I find myself looking for new ways to use them beyond smoothies and shortcake.

So, for next week’s Weekly Wellness with Jodi, I’ve put together a little collection of 10 strawberry-inspired recipes that I’ll be sharing with my email community.

You’ll find a mix of breakfasts, lunches, snacks, a drink, and even a dinner recipe… all featuring this delicious seasonal fruit.

If you’re already receiving Weekly Wellness with Jodi, keep an eye on your inbox next week. šŸ“

And if you’d like to receive my weekly nutrition tips, recipes, and wellness inspiration, you can join through the link in my bio.

Now tell me... what’s your favourite way to eat strawberries? šŸ“šŸ‘‡

I’m learning that growth usually comes with a healthy dose of discomfort.

Mountain biking isn’t new to me, but pushing my limits, trying new features, and becoming a better rider takes me outside my comfort zone.

And maybe that’s why I love it so much.

I love the focus it demands. I love the feeling of doing something that scares me a little. And I love the moment when I make it through and realize I’m capable of more than I thought.

A little fear. A lot of learning. And a slightly unhealthy addiction to challenging myself. šŸ™ˆšŸšµā€ā™€ļø

Friendly reminderšŸ‘‡

The health you want is hiding in the habits you’re avoiding. šŸ‘€

The ā€œboringā€ stuff works.

•Building balanced meals
•Planning ahead
•Drinking enough water
•Moving your body daily
•Getting enough sleep
•Managing stress

No magic pill. No quick fix.

Just small choices repeated often enough to change your life.

Which habit needs a little more attention right now?šŸ‘‡

If you’re ready to stop starting over and create healthy habits that actually fit your lifestyle, book a complimentary discovery call through the link in my bio.

Blood sugar can be sneakyšŸ˜

Because sometimes it makes us believe:
•coffee = breakfast
•lunch is optional
•3pm cravings are normal
•a bedtime snack is non-negotiable

Don’t listen to your sneaky blood sugar
Keep eating balanced meals and taking care of yourself. 🫶
